Prologue

Annie Elizabeth Frazier is a shadow in the dark. She lost her friends and she definitely has a dark past. Her haunting past seems to follow her every step of the way. But the question is: Will she ever find the light that left her?

"I've always been alone so it doesn't even matter anymore," I tired to tell him. I desperately wanted him to just leave and never come back, just forget everything, forget me. But, deep deep deep down inside of me I knew I was changing. I knew I was starting to trust again. Starting to feel again.

"You should never have to be alone, Ann," he started. As he continued he let his gaze fall to the floor. "And with me, you'll never have to be."
