A/N: This is my first time writing a fanfiction, so I apologise beforehand if the characters are, well, out of character. I'll try and fix that up in future chapters. Also grammar mistakes are also things I'll most likely overlook by accident when reading over chapters.

Lucien, the sly fox, had just walked in tipping me off about tonight's dinner. Claiming he wasn't going to be there since Tamlin had told him to piss off. He also mentioned it was going to be a table lit dinner, before leaving my arts room–not before looking at my current painting–with a fair well and other nonsense making my cheeks go red.

Looking back at the painting in front of me I see violet eyes surrounded in shadows staring right back. The pain within the eyes struck something in me making myself upset before I hung the painting up, staring at it as I have been all afternoon. The eyes look familiar. . .

Snapping out of my daze like state, I looked towards the wooden double doors, where a moment later Ianthe came rushing in as if she were being chased by a pack of wolves. I mentally smirked at that finding the image hilarious. Well. . .I had no idea where that came from.

"Feyre! Oh gods there you are! I've been looking everywhere for you!" She shrieked, stopping herself before her robs could touch the paints.

She examined me from head to toe–making me feel as if I were some prize, or a piece of meat that she wanted to get rid of–her face scrunching up in distaste? At seeing my body covered in paint.

Ianthe had returned after the Blight was gone, she never mentioned where she went towards anyone other than Tamlin. Not surprising though, they were good friends as I've been told and I could trust Tamlin. Ianthe on the other hand gave me bad vibes. But I still forced a sweet smile onto my face as I always had.

"Is there anything you need?" Her eyes flashed, from what I could see thanks to her hood casting a shadow over her face leaving her mouth and nose revealed–I often found myself wondering how she could see–, my question seemed to have taken her aback.

Probably not having expected me to talk.

"Ah yes, I need to know what flowers you would like at your wedding." Right, I completely forgot about Tamlin and I being engaged. Although the way she said it was bitter I shrugged it off.

Glancing down at the beautiful ring that I had taken off so it wouldn't get paint on it, I remembered the day Tam proposed to me.

It was also that day I was extremely unsure if I should stay with him. Ianthe had asked hours before he proposed, what was going to happen when I grew old and died as I was only human.

I'd completely forgot about that.

"Hm purple," I blurted and shook my head, "no violet..yeah violet." Nodding my head positive with my choice as I glanced back up at her. "Actually make it both and add some blue if you can?" I asked unsure, watching her think about it.

I'd be lying if I said that there wasn't a reason for those exact colours. . .but there was a reason. Those eyes I keep picturing, violet-purple-blue, I couldn't tell exactly what but they were stunning eyes that I wish to see in person.

Even if that may be an impossible wish I could still dream about them right?

Ianthe huffed looking to the side, seemingly examining all my paintings making me self conscious. "The colour combo doesn't sound too bad. . .it sounds more of a winter wedding to me, but then again those weddings don't have flowers. . ." she trailed off looking back at me nodding with a sickly sweet smile, "alright! Done." With that she left.

Leaving me behind with my thoughts before I decided going to my room to get ready for tonight.
