I felt the dogs' claws sink into my back, their wounds feeling like I had been hit by a thousand monsters. However, I was comforted by the thought that Brightpaw, though heavily damaged, was safe. Leaping up, I attacked one dog in the face, struggling to keep a grip, as it was twice my size. I crouched down, head low as soon as I was thrown down, protecting my underbelly and neck. Suddenly, a yowl sounded from above. "No,this was my chance!" I spat bitterly under my breath. The distracted dogs ran toward the incoming patrol, but Swift was not losing this battle. Despite being heavily injured, he charged at the larger dog, struggling to leap onto it's back. Digging his claws onto the back, he felt himself be thrown off and flung into a rock, yowling in pain as his vison went black.
