Your POV
*alarm beeps*
Great... Another day in hell ... I thought as i stand up, grab some clothes and get in the shower. After I'd washed I put on denim shorts and a t-shirt (of your choice), blow dry my hair, style it and walk downstairs. I'm about to walk out the door when I hear a familiar voice behind me
"Aren't you going to eat my special peanut butter toast?"
"Dad?!" You exclaim as you run up to him and give him a big hug. "Please tell me you can stay.." I say with a pleading look in my eyes
"I'm so sorry Aly ... This was actually goodbye they want me to train more and they said I would have to teach others when I get to my full potential which would take 2 years but I'll hopefully have breaks.. And I'll come see you" he said sadly
(your dad is training to be a solider, learning how to teach others and how to use advanced medication and skills that are used during war time just incase it ever comes)
"I-I understand" I say trying to hold back tears
**After a short conversation**
"I better start walking otherwise I'll be late" I say
"I can take you" dad says
"Nah I'll be ok, I like walking to school... It clears my mind"
"Ok honey have a great day"
"Not likely" I say under my breath so that he can't hear it.
I exit the house out the front door and start walking the same route I always go.
"Watch out!" Someone says from behind me
I turn around to see who it is and it's a boy with mocha brown hair and blue-grey eyes coming down the sidewalk full speed on a skateboard.
I freeze and can't move. Just before he's about to hit me someone pushes me out of the road and onto the grass. It's another boy with light blonde hair and blue eyes
"Colby! You almost ran her over!" The blonde boy says as I stand up and brush the dirt off of my legs.
"I'm so sorry are you ok?" I look up to see the brown haired boy, presumably Colby, with his skate board in one hand and my books that I dropped in the other.
"Uh yeah I think so.." I reply
"Why didn't you move?" The blonde boy asks
"I uh... Don't know. I-i just sorta froze"
"Here's your books" the brown hair boy says while passing your books to you
"Does she know who we are?" I hear him whisper to the blonde boy beside him.
"I don't think so" he replies
"You two are the worst whisperers I've ever known in my entire life.. And no I don't know who you are, should I?"
I say confused
"Uh no I'm Colby and this is Sam" the mocha brown boy says pointing at himself then at the blonde boy.
"Hi .. I'm Alyssa but my friends call me Aly.. Do you go to Langford high?" I question
"Yeah it's our first day, do you mind showing us how to get there?" Colby asks politely
"Uh sure this way"
**after a 5 minute walk and a short conversation**
"And here it is .. Hell" I say jokingly
"Thanks Aly it was nice meeting you" Sam chuckles before running off with Colby. It was like they were trying not to be seen either that or they were way too eager to go to school,
but that's very unlikely...
