The rain drenched the windows of Leda's dorm room, the sounds echoed throughout the empty space. A glowing red light came from her desk, a digital clock, it read 1 am.
Leda lay in bed, her mind racing with thoughts that scared her. What would happen if the window broke? As her paranoia continued to frighten her, there was a loud bang that came from the hallway outside of her room. She jumped up quickly and stalked over to her door, which was freshly oiled for the new year. She slid the door silently open, she peered around the door frame and saw two girls in the hallway. One of the girls was backed up against a wall and the other held a knife. What is going on? Leda stayed behind her doorframe but silently watched, the girl got closer and closer until suddenly a group of laughing and drunk girls came scrambling up the stairs. The girl put the knife away and muttered just loud enough for Leda to hear, "This isn't over.." she said stalking away in the darkness, leaving the girl on the floor.
Leda stood there, her heart beating quickly. She silently removed herself from the door frame and opened the door wider, she quietly walked up to the girl on the floor. "Are you OK?" She whispered, the girl looked up with tears streaming from her eyes. As soon as the words were said, the girl got up and wiped her eyes, "Yeah I guess," she said as she began to walk away until Leda finally said, "Will you be OK? You can stay in my dorm room if you need to." The girl continued to walk away leaving Leda alone in the dark hallway, Leda turned around and walked back to her room.
She stepped through the door and slid the door shut. She walked over to her bed and sat down on it, sinking into the memory foam mattress she had gained from her mother when she first got her dorm 3 years ago. The bed was small and was in the corner of the room, just how she liked it, it was decorated with fairy lights and a bedding which was black had little foxes dotted all over it. A small fox teddy sat on her desk, she had had it from the day she was born and she couldn't bring herself to let it go, it brought back memories when everything was calm and innocent before her nan was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. She looked at the clock, it read 2:25 am, Has it been over an hour already? She got back under the sheets and curled into a ball, attempting to warm up the now cold bed. Her thoughts now returned to its usual state of confusion and asked questions that Leda would never know the answer to. Soon she drifted to sleep, her mind rested and she was left with a dreamless night.

Leda woke up and looked at the clock, it was 9am. She got up and walked to her box bathroom, she looked in the mirror realising that she had lines from the awkward way she slept that night. She picked up the flannel and washed her face removing the smeared mascara from her face and tried to massage the lines out of her face.
The Night before
Leda picked out the dress that Sara and her brother Seeko had picked out for her. She flung it over her bare skin and removed the curlers that she had put it in sometime this morning. Her hair bounced on her shoulder, the curls perfectly shaped, grazed her strawberry coloured birthmark. She matched her eye shadow to the colour of her dress, deep red, on top of the eye shadow she applied eyeliner to form a small wing. And lastly she put on her mascara and a deep red lipstick. Just as she finished up, Sara opened the door. "Damn you look hot," she winked and ushered her out of the door shoving a purse into Leda's hands.
Leda walked down that hall, she knew her cheeks were red because she could feel the heat in her face. Sara giggled and gave her a shoulder hug, "Im not lying, you're gonna get somebody tonight I can feel it," Leda smirked at this comment, "No I wont, I probably wont even like anyone at the club." They continued walking until they reached the club where Seeko and his friend Milo greeted us. Sara kissed Milo, "Hey babe," she said linking their arms together. After they greeted each other, they entered the club and were instantly hit with flashing colours and rave music.
Leda followed her friends to the bar and they ordered drinks. After they all had had a shot of vodka each, Milo and Sara headed to the dance floor and seductively danced in each others arms with Sara's hair flowing around her as she shook her head to the music. Seeko soon disappeared and was found making out with a cute boy in the corner of the room. Leda ordered a tequila and stayed at the bar. A woman came up to the bar and flung her arms around Leda's shoulders. "Hello pretty," she said flirtatiously and eventually swung around her and sat down. Leda remained silent but she couldn't deny that the woman looked beautiful, her dark hair flowed down her back and lay effortlessly over her shoulders, her dress was a dark navy and was fitted to her curves and her eyes were the colour of a deep blue ocean that Leda was instantly lost in, but she was confused at who this woman was.
The woman smirked and ordered some shots and lay them out, she grabbed a shot and told Leda to take one. After a few more shots, Leda and the woman were extremely drunk then began laughing and talking with each other. "So whats your name?" Leda asked placing her finger on the woman's chest, a sudden boost of confidence surged through her. Most likely from the alcohol.
"Its Vicky," she replied, "and yours is?"
"Leda."
"Damn that's a gorgeous name!" Leda blushed but smirked and gazed into Vicky's eyes. Before she knew it, Leda was being dragged onto the dance floor. They danced and slowly moved closer to each other, they slotted their bodies together and Leda raised her arms and slung them over Vicky's neck. "Come with me," Vicky whispered in Leda's ear, making her skin tingle. Vicky lead Leda into an empty room by the side of the bar, Vicky then gently gripped onto Leda's waist and with a gentle shove, she pushed her up against the wall, locking their lips together and moving them to a rhythm that only they could hear. They were drunk, too drunk and neither of them would forget that kiss.
Leda started to remember the events of the night and cursed when she thought of that kiss, the kiss she shouldn't have had with another woman. She slid on some jeans and a flowy top, and then proceeded to brush her hair. Finally, she applied mascara and concealer. When she thought she was ready to go, she grabbed her bag and left for her lecture.
