It all began with Zeus when he wanted to have a kid with Hestia. Being one of the most innocent Goddess the child of her was to be a very powerful chap.
But Hestia hopelessly denied the idea. She was afraid that it might threaten the peace of Olympus, if the child was destined to destroy Zeus. But Zeus took no hint of the fact.
Instead he boomed and sulked and dreamt of revenge for Hestia's of audacity. He had a bit of advice from Aphrodite who too wasn't very far sighted. Athena and Artemis tried to stop them but couldn't help. They even could not tell this to Hestia as per Zeus's orders.
