Manvi's outburst and her changed behavior was troubling Virat, she was not like this, he had known her for almost three years, they have gone through a lot in their life together, be it happiness, anger, hurt or any other emotion... she never let out her emotions, she was a closed, reserved yet tolerant person, He knew that it was because of her Nanu... her Nanu had been so immersed with the idea of protecting her that he forgot to prepare her for the future, he forgot about the possibilities of 'if's, Virat never realized it during their college time, he was not mature neither serious, he was just a boy who enjoyed living every moment of his life, but it was all so clear now, he could see it now, Manvi was like a pearl covered by a strong shell, and now the shell has broken, her Nanu has left her exposed to the cruel reality and he hates to agree but she was lost, lost among strangers... abandoned by her dreams and left with no motive to live.

Virat inhaled deeply as he looked at Manvi who was holding his t-shirt in a tight grip even after falling asleep, fate was mocking him... how many nights would he have dreamt of having her in his arms, how many nights would he have been awake just to get rid of those dreams, how many nights would he have spent strolling out just to avoid those hallucinations of her living happily with another man, and here she, his Manvi was sleeping in his arms, not peaceful nor comfortable but just worn out and defeated, didn't God punish him enough for falling in love, what bad did he do to witness such situation, he was torn out between a friend and a lover, can he push away the friendship aside, be selfish and acquire her, will he ever be happy by using this vulnerable state against her? No... Never... he would never ever make her helpless and build a relationship, love cannot be forced nor can it be owned, then what option did he have? Just let her go? No... there's no way he would abandon her... then what else? Be her pillar of strength, help her build a life on her own, let her free, she would come back to him that is only if they are destined to be, easy to say... Will it be easy to follow? Will he be able to control his feelings? Why did it all have to be so difficult... Life was never this tough for him... He had gotten everything he wanted even before he mentioned it to his parents, his brother would do anything to make him happy, he had a lovely family who wished nothing but the best for him, he expected love to be easy for him too... it seemed like God had different plans for him, but he was thankful to God for one thing, that is for bringing Manvi to him, out of all people who could have been there it was him who saw her, really 'thank god for that'.

All these coincidence certainly proved that this was meant to be, and he would not let this opportunity go waste. Come what may, he would fight for his love, he would not give up so easily... Not everyone gets a second chance...

Manvi rubbed her swollen eyes to witness an empty room, she was having the pillow cuddled closer to her, and her veil was placed neatly on the sofa next to the bed, she was comfortably reclined and covered with a soft quilt, her whole body ached as she tried to sit straight, she felt sick and weak, it was all obvious as she did not have any proper food since the last two days, she groaned while stretching her arm to get rid of the stiff feeling just to sense something cold touch her fingers, she narrowed her eyes at the bunch of keys lying on the small cupboard next to the bed, there was a white paper underneath the keys,

Good morning beautiful J

'Use the key to open the wardrobe, get changed... will be waiting for you at the breakfast table...

Virat

Manvi smiled while wondering about the dresses it might hold and was surprised to see a pile of sarees and various kinds of suits, it didn't look like dresses which Vanshika aunty used to wear, and Virat didn't have any sisters... whose dresses could it be? She wondered, nevertheless picked up a simple baby pink suit as she couldn't bear the hunger which was increasing the sick feeling in her stomach.
