CHAPTER 2

“Anything for my best friend. So, ano na? Anong nangyari? Are you inviting him to your party?” Mas excited pa ata si Sofia sa party kesa nangyari sa akin kanina.

“Sofi! Ano ba? I’m serious here. I’m enraged! ‘Di ko na alam gagawin ko. As much as I like him, I also hate him. Girl, nanghihina ako kapag kasama siya. Tapos ngayon, he had the guts to get mad at me just because of a girl! Mas nagalit ako nung sinabi niyang ‘a girl like me’. What did he mean by that? UGHHH!!”

Pinakinggan ni Sofia ang pagmumura ko kay Daniel. Magaling sa mga advice si Sofia, porket naunahan akong magka-boyfriend, siya nalang nag bibigay ng tips for boys. Information rin para sa mga sinusulat kong stories.

Eventually, bigla nalang tumawa si Sofia.

“Ayy gurl. In love yan sayo.”

“Gusto mong maatake ako sa puso nang maaga? That’s not even funny. I could never picture him falling in love with him. I like him, oo, but even I don’t want to fall in love with him. This is so frustrating.”

“Ba’t niya ba kasi pinapunta yung girl sa table mo in the first place? Didn’t you find that weird? There has to be something going on here. I’m sure of it.” Sofia insisted.

“I didn’t think of that. Hmm… na curious na tuloy ako. Nakaka-stress ang buhay matan-” Nag-ring phone ko, and nag appear ang name ni Dash, Daniel’s little brother.

Nakalimutan ko na inimbita niya pala ako sa bahay nila, again. “Teka lang, Sofi. Si Dash, tumatawag.”

“Sagutin mo na phone mo, iha.” Pabiro niya.

“Hey Dash! How’s school? Great? Yeah! Sorry, I almost forgot… I’ll go straight to your house. I’ll bring some pastries for you and Diane. Is that alright? Hehe. See you!”

Sabay na kaming pumunta sa parking garage ni Sofi. Sinamahan ako hanggang sa kotse ko. Natatakot pa kasi akong mag-isa, malay ko nandun pa si Daniel.

“Mag-ingat ka dun sa bahay nila. Nandun ang lalaki.” Payo ni Sofia sa akin.

Natawa naman ako ng konti. “Easy lang, girl. Nandun naman ang twins. Mas mahal pa siguro ako ng twins kesa  kuya nila. If he’s there, then I hope Dane’s there too. At least, kung galit pa mokong na yun sa akin, may referee. Alis na ako, bes. Text kita mamaya. Mag-ingat ka, okay?

Umalis na rin ako at papunta na sa bahay ng mga Belyakov. Kakaiba ang power ng mga Belyakov. Ang alam ko lang, parang vacation house lang bahay nila ngayon, and they might move anytime. May iniiwasan ata pamilya nila. I didn’t want to dig deeper kasi alam kong wala naman akong matutunguhan if may malaman ako about their family. Kaya for safety, I ended up the family’s outside tutor/nanny/assistant.

I’m Dash and Diane’s nanny, Mr Belyakov’s errand runner outside their estate/assistant, and Daniel’s tutor. This was all Daniel’s fault in the first place! Akala ng papa nila girlfriend ako ni Daniel. Eh, sinabi kong tinututor ko anak niya, nagalit, tapos ayon nag-gyera sa loob ng bahay. Ayaw pala ng papa niya na pinapahiya ang pangalan nila. The story somehow relates back to Russia.

Dun ko rin nakilala ang kuya ni Daniel, si Dane. Older version lang ni Daniel. Eh, business person, tapos nag offer siya ng deal. Okay naman ako sa deal, so pumayag na akong maging tutor ni Daniel.

When I parked my car in my own spot in their lot and got out, I was greeted by two of the most beautiful beings I’ve ever met.

“Dash! Diane! Manners!” Dane called out from the foyer, but the twins kept clinging and I didn’t complain. Nagsmile nalang ako kay Dane.

Nanggigil ako sa ka-cute ni Dash at Diane. Namangha talaga ako sa genes na papa at mama nila. Kelang kaya ako magkaka-anak nang ganito ka ganda at cute?

Sinapak ko forehead ko so I could come back to my senses.

“Ka-ty… are you okay?” tinanong ako ni Diane. Lumaki na mga mata niya parang naluluha na, pero hindi. Ganyan lang talaga ang mga mata ni Diane.

“Come on, Kaitlyn, let’s go inside. I want you to taste the food I made.” Dash dragged me inside and to the kitchen.

“Slowly, Dash. Diane is still catching up. Remember what I told you? You can’t make your sister cry.”

“Yeah, brat. You should listen to that old hag.”

Ah. That familiar voice haunted my ears and my blood boiled.

This is raw and I haven't proof-read this chapter yet. Nagmamadali kasi ako kasi I have a flight to catch in a couple of hours. I'm working on Chapter 3. But, I don't know kung kelan ko matatapos and when I'll be able to upload it. I have to find a decent internet connection.
