'Have you ever wondered about the small things of how things were put together for a reason. Well I really don't, but unfortunately I have to sit here and listen to this boring piece of crap once again' As I fiddle with my pencil, I realise that my name was being called, again.
"Ms. Greyson, I know you can here me." I look up annoyingly. "Did you understand the question?" The Professor asks in a tone that I did not like.
"Probably, but my guess is your going to tell me again, right?" He sighs.
"Ms.Greyson see me after class." I scoff as he walks away and those around sounded like third graders. "Okay, since we had miss attitude over here we can all take out a piece of paper and pencil and begin writing about something that makes you feel emotions." Everyone groans and I gain a few glares. I roll my eyes without hesitation. "That means you too Charlotte."I growl and do as I'm told. "Okay, the big question is what emotion are we feeling most days, and which emotion are we afraid to feel, or to show? We must have this feeling because we feel that it's something we shouldn't feel, like for instance, say there are two friends, one a girl, the other a boy, and think about the timeline of how much they spend time together. Now, this is because they are more comfortable with each other's company. Who knows what usually happens when this happens. Yes Andrea?"
"They fall in love with each other." I can't help but scoff at that ridiculous answer.
"Oh, do you think you have something you'd like to say, Charlotte?" I look up in surprise. I look around and the class looks at me with interest.
"It's nothing." I mumble.
"No, it's not nothing, everyone's opinion is important, especially yours." I sit up.
"Fine, I think everyone cleary thinks that when two people are friends they have to fall for another, like it's inevitable, but that's not true. Because there is another way to go about it. It could either go the way you say, and you'll live happily ever after, or....."I trail off.
"Or what?" I could feel my heart ache.
"Or it'll be one sided, which is probably the worst place you can be." Memories flash in my mind back to those days, even if they were just pretend, they meant the world to me, even if it didn't to him. I bring myself back to reality and straighten up. "That's all I'm saying, is it's not always a happy ending because for the most part, something like love, it's overrated." Suddenly the bell rings, and I get up and leave.
"Ms. Greyson I thought I told you to-"
"I've got somewhere I need to be." Was all I say before I disappear amidst the crowd of people. After escaping I head straight out of the doors, and head home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After I enter through my front door, I head towards the kitchen because I had skipped lunch and I honestly was starving. I opened the fridge and I had a bottle of ketchup, and some lettuce. I let out a sigh. 'I guess I should get to the store.' I think to myself. I shut the door, and look around. 'It seems lonely to most, and I'll be honest it does get lonely, but this is what I have to do. I decide to go upstairs and change my clothes, as I enter my room I walk straight to my closet and pull out a t-shirt and some jeans. I get changed quickly and as I pull my shirt over my eye catches the frame laying face down on my desk. I take in a deep breath and reach for it, I hesitantly pick it up. As I turn it around I can't help, but feel a sting go right through my chest. I look at the photo which showed a man, a woman, a little girl, and a little boy. They were smiling brightly at the camera, and the little girl was on the man's shoulders. The man, and women were my parent, they died on their way back from my grandparents, I should've went with them but I was being stubborn about not wanting to go. I regret things, a lot of things, but there is something else I regret, the little boy, he was my best friend, and after my parents passed, people started to talk, and soon after he was getting pulled into it, and that was it for him. He told me that he couldn't be a part of this tragedy because it was too much to handle and abandoned me like everyone else did. Soon I realized myself how cruel the world could be, and I gave up on trusting anyone ever again. I place the photo back where it was, grabbed my things and headed out. I kept thinking about that whole discussion in class. It was like it was haunting me. I couldn't help, but continue to think on it. As I walk towards the store I notice a crowd of girls who were screaming for god knows why. I sigh, and sneak my way into the side. I look around, and nothing seemed out of place, so I just shrugged my shoulder and start looking for my stuff. I head down the freezer aisle when I finally realise how empty the store was. Every one was outside, like they were being kept from coming in, again I just shrug it off.
