chapter I

Devyn's pov

I always felt uneasy walking around at night alone but I had to get out of that shitty house I lived in with my mom and annoying twin sister, Selina. But tonight was different I felt more uneasy than usual, like I was being, watched. I kept turning my hard only to find nothing. "Just one more block dev, and you'll be back to that shit hole you call a home" I whispered to myself

I was at the giant clock tower in the center of my neighborhood when I could have sworn I felt breath in the back if my neck. I quickly turned around to see... Nothing, nothing except for the house's. I turned back around and was about to start sprinting back to my house but as i started, to run, a chill ran down my spine and as I was about to turn around, a hand covered my mouth.

"Shh don't scream don't scream" the voice said, I nodded then I slowly turn around to see, "Mikey?!" I said surprised to see the adorably awkward kid in my phsycology class "Devyn, I knew that was you, the smell of your blood was lingering in the air" he said flashing me his fangs while mentioned the smell of my blood then he put his nose on my neck.

I tried to pull away but he wouldn't let me go " Mikey, please I have to go home" "oh devy, my sweet sweet devy, I wish i could but I need a queen, and you're the only one I want" he said tilting my neck to the side "Mikey, why don't you take selina as your queen?" I asked him trying to pull away once more "Devyn I have chosen you as my queen because you're the only girl that actually likes me"

I was shocked that he knew I liked him. I sighed and looked in his eyes and said "what do I have to do to be able to stay with my family?" I asked as Mikey looked into my eyes as well. "Just say you'll be mine" I nodded then like that he...disappeared. I ran the rest of the way home and when I got inside I was greeted by the one the only selina "Devyn where were you? I needed someone to talk to but noo you had to go out on a wa-"I cut her off by putting my hand over her mouth "shut the fuck up!" I whisper yelled " I'm going to bed" I say then walked to my room.
