A/N Sorry it's short. I'll try to update soon. Enjoy the story. :)

Jekyll walked through the Society to his lab. Once inside, he leaned against the door. With a resigned sigh, he slid to the floor, knowing he was too exhausted to take another step.

He'd had a terrible and overwhelming stressful day. More than once, the doctor had caught himself wondering if it would be easier to stop living rather than continuing with his seemingly crumbling life. Jekyll didn't notice the tears in his eyes as he thought about how easy it would be to mix a poison for himself.

It could be over with in less than an hour, he thought.

"Jekyll?" A quiet voice stopped his thoughts. Hyde. "Are you alright?" Hyde's voice was shaking very slightly.

"Of course I'm alright," Jekyll was nowhere near convincing. "Why do you ask?"

Hyde stepped gingerly out of the mirror, walking slowly across the room. The blond nervously sat next to Jekyll.

"You don't seem alright." Hyde mumbled, almost whispering. "You shouldn't poison yourself."

"Since when do you care?" Henry snapped, although his voice was quiet and drowsy.

Hyde leaned on the taller man's shoulder, lacing his fingers with Henry's and covering them with his other hand. "I've always cared."

Hyde, just as tired as Jekyll, felt an arm wrap around his shoulders as he drifted off. Jekyll put all thoughts of suicide out of his mind and leaned his cheek on the small blond's head. He didn't even have the energy to wonder what would happen if someone opened the door before he fell asleep.
