Falling for the Bad Boy

Not So Normal Day

   I walk into school 5 minutes before the bell signaling the first period of the day goes off. Will I ever get to school earlier than this, I thought to myself. Probably not. I walk to my class re-reading Twilight, my music playing at its highest volume. It's just such a good series I can't help myself. As soon as Edward and Bella are about to kiss I find myself on the floor. Weird I'm usually so good at dodging people while I read and walk. It's like my sixth sense, it seems to be a little off today. Whatever no big deal. I give the hallways a quick glance around, nobody seemed to notice me fall. I get up quickly shaking it off, when suddenly there's a hard yank on my elbow. Cheesists! I think to myself as I feel myself stumble almost falling. Out of no where a pair of strong arms steady me. Guat de heck, I am confusion. I look up to see the most beautiful green eyes. After my second of admiration, my eyes make its way down this persons face. I realize this person is a guy and he's mouthing something to me. I remove my earbuds from my ears and say "Wait what?" He looks down at me and says "Apologize." his voice stern. I took a step back it's not that serious dude I thought to myself. I giggled aloud and said "Sorry dude." After about a second I turn to walk away.

I look at the time and it's 12:10 p.m. I've survived through three of my classes now it's time for lunch. As I'm walking to the cafeteria I make sure not to read while I walk for the remainder of the day. I will continue to listen to my music though. Wouldn't want to fall again, or interact with another person. Ones enough and gosh he was so weird. Cute but weird. He was so serious about me apologizing I wonder what his deal was. Whatever not my problem at all. As I'm making my way to the cafeteria I stop to change the song. I was in the sudden mood for some classical music. I looked through my Spotify songs and choose Claire de Lune by Debussy. Just as the song starts I'm on the floor again! I gather myself quickly and look around and find the same green eyes looking down at me. "Now it's your turn to apologize to me."I say to the cute guy. "I don't need to apologize to you." He stated. Wow talk about freaking rude. I rolled my eyes and said "Listen here punk, I didn't have to apologize to you either. But I did because I was at fault. Now how about you stop being a baby and do the same." After my little rant I here a deep chuckle. I look up to see him barely containing himself. I wait for 30 seconds. He looks down at me one more time and just starts cracking up. I roll my eyes, put my ear buds in and start to walk off. As I listen to the beautiful sounds of the piano and continue to make my way to the cafeteria I was tapped on my shoulder from behind. I look back to see the weird but cute guy. And now that I'm actually looking at him he pretty buff. Not paying much attention to his body,my eyes make their way up to his face again and see he's mouthing words again. Ugh I hate having to remove my earbuds to talk to people. I do it anyways because I was raised right. "I'm sorry what was that? I was listening to my music." I say to him. He smirked at me "I'm Lucas. Lucas Harper and you are?" He asked. "Hungry and done with this conversation." I said attempting to walk away. He grabs my arm to stop me. What is with this guys touching me so dang much! I'm just trying to eat some food. I look up to see an angry expression on his face. "Stop walking away from me! I'm trying to apologize to you and you're being hard headed." He said through clenched teeth. I was taken aback. I don't know what to say or what to do. I don't have friends so I don't know how to comfort people. "Uhh sorry, I'm just not used to talking to people." I said looking down at my shoes. He sighs and says "Well give me your number and I'll help you." I laugh nervously and reply "I don't have a phone." I blush and look away. After a while I look up at him to see a smirk on his face. Suddenly he's reaching behind me. He places his hand on my waist and pulls me in closer. I'm in shock, completely and utterly shocked. I feel his hand go down to my back pocket of my jeans. Before I can realize what he's doing, my phone is already in his hand. He raises an eyebrow at me and says "Really? No phone?" I don't say a word and just shake my head signifying a no. He opens his mouth to say something when *RIIIIIINNNGGGGGGGG*
I look at my watch to see it's 12:45. That's the end of lunch! I notice the bell had caught him by surprise, distracting him. I grab my phone out of his hand and dash to my last class of the day.

I took me only two minutes to get to my class. I have gym. So basically a free period. My gym teacher isn't strict at all. He doesn't make us do anything physical. Just makes us dress out for a grade. As I'm getting dressed in the locker room, my stomach growls. I sigh. That stupid idiot made me starve. I should sue him! I quickly shake it off, put my book bag in my locker. Grab my book and my phone and head out. As I wait for the class to start, more students make their way to the bleachers. We still had about two minutes before class started. I continue reading where I left off. Edward and Bella where sharing their first kiss. How romantic! I feel the bleachers move as someone sits next to me. I ignore it and continue reading. Then my book is in someone's huge hands. I look up to see that Lucas kid again. "Hey give it back!" I say as I reach out to grab it. He jerks his arm away quickly my book still in his hand. "That was a cute stunt you pulled back there." He said with a smirk on his face. "Thanks, I guess" i replied "Can I get my book back?" He shook his head "Tsk Tsk. You know it is pretty rude to lie to people you've just met." I blush again as I open my mouth to reply the gym teacher Mr.Graham starts to call attendance. I'm forced to stay quiet till he's done. My name is third to last. "Alice Vella" I raise my hand and say "Here." Two random names later he's finished. "Lucas, can I get my book back?" I ask without looking at him. He doesn't even respond to me. I turn my head to look and find him reading the second chapter of the book. I tap his shoulder lightly and repeat myself. He looks at me with a confused expression on his face so I repeat myself once more. "No" he simply replies. I start to get angry "What! Well, why not? It's my book!" I say to him. "You lied to me and it's actually pretty good. Who knew?" I take a deep breath in an attempt to calm myself down. "I knew because it's..." I pause for a second for a dramatic effect "oh yeah, it's my book." He chuckled and looked at me with a sly expression on his face. "Tell you what, you give me your number Alice and I'll give you your book back. Deal?" I think for a second. I mean what harm can giving him my number do? None, I won't text him anyway. And I get my book back. "Deal" I reply with my hand extended ready to shake on it. He looked at my hand and shook it. He takes his phone out his pocket and unlocks it. He scrolls through the screen to find his contact book. When he gets to it he quickly taps on the plus sign that allows him to create a new contact. He types in the name quickly and hands me his phone. I start to type in my number (786)123-1234. I get a quick glance at my contact name and see he has me under "Alice 🦇". I give him back his phone and say "What's with that emoji?"  He took his phone and put it in his pocket again. "Well you're reading a vampire book, and they do turn into bats... so it seemed fitting" he simply replied. Seemed fitting. Is he kidding me. They don't even turn into bats! The nerve on this guy disrespecting Edward and the rest of the Cullen family like that. I ignore the disrespect and say "Welp a deal is a deal, so hand over my book please." I say with my palm ready to receive my hardcover novel. "Oh, yeah no. I'm not giving this back until I'm done with it." He says and gets up. He walks down the bleachers and I realize he's leaving. I quickly get up and follow him barely catching up. "Lucas! Wait!" He turns around with an annoyed expression on his face. "What Alice?" He says. "Dude we had a deal!" He starts to laugh "Okay? And?" I start to get angry. "What do you mean and? Are you serious right now! We had a deal that's so not fair!" I exclaimed. "Listen princess,  I was honestly going to give it back. But, I like messing with you."
"You like messing with me? I'm not your friend so don't 'mess' with me. We had a deal honor it!" I replied through clenched teeth. "You're cute when you're mad but no." Ugh that jerk! He starts to walk off again. I follow him and realize he's making his way back to the boys locker room. I will go in there if I have to! He suddenly stops making me bump into his back. "What the heck Lucas?" He turned around with a smirk on his face "I have practice today. So unless you're willing to wait for me to finish you won't be getting this back until tomorrow." He says waving my book over his head. As he's waving my beautiful book over his head I finally realize how tall he is I'd say 6'4. Wow. He makes me feel short and I'm 5'7. I take a good look at his body. He's pretty built. Strong legs, big muscular arms. I bet he has abs. I think to myself. "Like what you see princess?"
I snap back to reality and blush again. This is like the third darn time! I quickly compose myself and say "Aww princess you're not all that" He smirks and leans down to be at eye level with me. "You sure about that?" He whispers. His voice sent shivers down my spine. I start to nibble on my bottom lip. I notice he's slowly inching his face closer to mine. "Uhh Uhh I-i-i-I'm sure." I say nervously. "That's the second time you've lied to me. I don't like being lied to princess." He whispers again. He's driving me crazy! What's his motive? Is this normal? I mean maybe. But I've never even talked to a guy before so I wouldn't know. He snakes his free arm around my waist and says "I'll text you later tonight. Don't miss me too much." I'm too stunned to move. He lays a kiss on my cheek and proceeds to walk away. My book! He took my book!
