Sitting by the window,
she looks out at the snow that is illuminated by the moon.
tears stain her once joyful face,
She wanted out,
she wanted to run away,
she wanted someone to save her from this nightmare.
She is sad,
She is tired,
And she is scared.
She doesn't want to leave yet,
But she also doesn't want this pain.
All she wants is for the war in her head to stop.
She imagines her family reacting to her absence.
It makes her heart ache until her brain says you're being dramatic.
Why would they care.
Nobody cares about you.
Though She does promise that she would call her mother one last time to tell her that she
Loved her
and that it wasn't her fault.
She was a broken mess beyond repair,
She believed that she was a useless nobody,
She believed that there was nothing left for her
That she was just a failure,
A mistake.
She watched out the window,
As the silent cold night
Whispered to her,
Telling her that she wasn't alone
She could win this fight.
They cared,
Everyone cared.
She wondered if the night was right,
But convinced herself that it was wrong,
It must be wrong.
If she couldn't care about herself,
Then why would anybody care about her.
She chewed her gum quickly,
Trying to distract herself from the voices that filled her head.
Giving her no room to think clearly,
she blocked out the Nights whispers of kindness.
Letting her own horrible thoughts flood in rapidly,
As she once again told the night to be silent.
she laid down,
Sinking slightly into the prison she called a bed.
Letting her brain be free from it's leash,
Not caring about what it says or does.
Tired of trying to control it but failing every time.
she let sleep take her.
She hoped that tomorrow would be a better day.
It would be better right?
She tried to tell herself,
but she knew.
That she would repeat this same night over
The next day.
At the hour of the silent night.
