Erika stood in the dark, blood on her sword, sweat dripping, breath rushing. The moonlight glinted harshly off of her iron plate armour, and she wandered hopelessly through the onyx-black night, fighting for all she was worth. She payed no heed to her gradually worsening state, being propelled solely by her adrenaline and fear. Erika stood at the edge of the woods, squinting at her house, a beacon of hope, in the distance. Once the light reached her eyes, she thought she could make it home. However, Erika then found herself encircled by decrepit zombies, sharp-eyed skeletons, hissing spiders, and shadowy endermen. She glared doggedly around the circle, before seeing her nearly depleted health bar. Erika's knees buckled, and she decided to succumb to her impending fate of being slowly and painfully torn apart by the creatures of the night. Suddenly, a tremendous explosion rolled through the empty air. All of the horrid entities had been stricken bolts of lightning, flashing from the sky. The mobs cried and screeched in anguish as their flesh burned and smoke curled from their dying forms. Through the thick crimson flames, a tall, dark figure emerged, a pair of ivory eyes glowing from within the imposing silhouette. It approached Erika quickly, not in a rushed manner, but with purpose. Erika scuttled backwards, exhausting some of her remaining strength.
"Don't be afraid." it said. Its voice was deep and rough, but it seemed to Erika as if it were trying to come across as soothing. Erika still looked very afraid. "It's alright." the figure told her "I won't hurt you." It knelt down next to Erika and studied her carefully, its body still encased in shadow. It (which Erika now assumed to be a man) gently lifted her forearm and began licking the blood from a gash. She sat in silence, not daring to say or do anything. "Your other arm." he commanded softly, after finishing the first one. Erika did as told, and didn't refuse the cleaning. "There." he said once he was done both of them. He slipped an arm under her legs and one under her back. He picked Erika up and began to carry her towards her house. He smiled down at her, baring a mouthful of shark-like teeth. And before she knew it, she had fallen asleep in this stranger's arms.
