Have you ever wondered if, at some point in the future, a catastrophic event destroyed all electricity and prevented us from using it for hundreds of years?
In the year 2039, the sun emitted an E1 electromagnetic pulse that shut down the entire world power grid. This caused the CDC's (center for disease control) most violent and devistating viruses to escape. Those who didn't have a strong enough immune system died. Killing fifty percent of the world's population. This, however, was not the end of the tragedy.
Without power, the technology that had been installed into prisons failed and many rapists, murderers, and the assortment were able to escape. Without much law enforcement, these people, or rather, monsters could do what they wanted, when they wanted. The death total decimated fourty-five percent of the remaining population. Throughout the world, only about 850 million people remained. In a realistic view, this would be just under the amount of people living in China in 2018.
In the year 2167, the United States has around 1.3 million people and has been separated into six "territories". These six territories formed alliances and enemies with each other. There is the Rocky Mountain Territory, the Appalachian Territory, the Eastern Coastal Territory, the Sierra Nevada Mountain Territory, the Ozark Mountain Territory, and the Badlands Territory.
Our story starts in the Rocky Mountain Territory, in a place formerly known as Butte, Montana in the year 3104.
