Chapter One

Icy fingers around my arm dragging me through the night. In that second I know he has found me. Noah has found me. I did my best to hide from the monster that tortured me for years, tried to change my brain. Make sure I knew how to be a terrorist. They said I was safe from him. They said he could not find me. Noah is the demon of smarts. He knows what happens...

This is my fifth time moving to get away. Fifth new name. I was Jane Gomez. At age ten I was taken by Noah's father, Jose. I thought Noah was the kindest person I had met until he killed that innocent five-year-old at that government meeting. I guess he had a reason to. She was the governor's daughter. I know. I'm a hypocrite. I and Noah are in love. As He and Jose had completely destroyed my brain. By the time I was seventeen I was a terrorist myself.

The government caught me. I was tried and they did brain scans testing for mental illness. They found out I was the missing ten-year-old. They also found that I had an abnormality in my brain. In fact several. The doctors ran tests upon tests. I was extremely excited. I had an opening to leave. I would have gone back to Noah. Then, I was told that I was going to have brain surgery. I asked them why. I was very disrespectful. My doctor told me that someone had messed with major key functions that controlled the good and bad. I tried to get away. But now I realize that the Doctors and Policemen saved my life.

Now I'm being dragged off by my favorite person. Note the sarcasm. I decide I will speak.
"Why do you insist on dragging me, Noah? I would have left that hell whole school for any reason." Suddenly I am picked up like a baby. I stare into his cold blue eyes. This is not Noah. This is his brother...

"Well, Jane. I'm not Noah, even though he was dying to see you. He knows he is not smart enough to get you away from the government." Oh, how I missed them. These twins are the funniest people I have ever met.

"Well, Let's go then," I say jumping down and start jogging backward. I instinctively stick my tongue out."I'll beat you to your car."

"You don't even know what it looks like. Plus you don't know where I parked."

"You see Jazz, I have a sixth sense for Noah." He bends over laugh-crying.

"That's-why-you-thought-I-was-Noah!" he says laughing hysterically. I turn, give him a death glare and surprisingly. He shuts up, which don't know why.

Even when I trained I couldn't beat him. Only Noah and Jose could. I run towards what looks like his car, parked on a walking path. He laughs.
"Still observant I see." The car door swings open, I see what looks like a person, and suddenly I'm wrapped in someone's arms. Noah's arms. I instantly hug back but then pull away, angry.
"WHAT TOOK YOU GUYS SO LONG!!!"

"The government doesn't like terrorists, but we aren't them. We are government officials destroying the enemy." Noah says calmly. "We were busy setting everything up." He pulls my head up gently and presses our mouths together. I melt in his arms. Suddenly a loud alarm bursts through the air.

"They must be looking for you. In the car lovebirds. Now." We get into the car. I just noticed Jose in the driver's seat. Noah sits next to me. Leaving Jazz with the front seat.

"Well, Jane. Be grateful that you are so valuable to Noah. I would have given upon you years ago." Jose said. I take it like a compliment. He gives up on most people on the first day. Plus, he genuinely hates me usually. Strange.

"Hey, you ok?" Noah asks turning my face to look at him.

"Jolly," I say sarcasm seeping through my voice. He glances at his father. I give a slight nod and he returns it with a not so glary-glare. Indicating he'll ask about it later. He always glares. It's quite mysterious and yet sexy at the same time. He stares intently at me, never gazing away as his twin makes car talk. He is studying me. I never glance away from his chocolate eyes.
