Prologue

Once again Taylor Clark gazed out of her small bedroom window as her thoughts drifted outside the gates of her small town of Pine Hollow. She has always dreamed of seeing the world, but no one, except for messengers and hunters, left because of the dangers that lied beyond the gates where thieves and wild animals roamed. But the thing that the towns people feared the most, were the night riders. They were people all dressed in black that rode black horses. They are out to kill all humans who are not a part of their armies. There are thousands of night rider armies all over the world. None of them know where Pine Hollow is because it is so well hidden. But one day, Taylor's dream came true in a way she never expected. It all started like any other day...
