This is an au where the literature girls and the eddsworld boys are college students, ages around 19-20. Monika groups them all together to start a literature club. They all join for different reasons, not all including books.
Monika: The club president. Unlike in the game, she's not aware that her world isn't real. However, she still has a manipulative side to her. She couldn't have gotten the boys to join otherwise.
Sayori: The vice president. Without the MC, her bittersweet personality shines through a little more. However, she still keeps up a happy facade for her friends.
Yuri: The bookworm. With more people in the club, she buries herself more into her books. But when asked, she will gladly share her knowledge on literature.
Natsuki: The stubborn cutie. She usually hides in the closet to read her manga, and teases the boys when that isn't an option. Her father is still abusive, but she doesn't have to deal with that anymore. More on that later.
Edd: The cola lover, and the main reason the boys decided to join. He thought it would be a fun experience. His poems usually have one or two puns in them.
Tom: The eyeless pessimist. He only joined so Edd would stop bugging him, and is still hesitant to enjoy it in the club. His poems are simple and below average, and he accepts that.
Matt: The narcissist. He joined for the cupcakes and tea, as well as for Edd. His poems are always about himself, and if he's upset, they're about his fear of being ugly.
Tord: The hentai lover. He joined for the girls, and for Edd. His poems are... Well, after the first one, nobody read his poems again. It was lewd.
The college they attend has dorms, so the characters are put in pairs. This is why Natsuki doesn't have to deal with her father anymore.
