Vampires, Werewolves And The Hybrid

CHAPTER 1 WHEN DARKNESS FALLS

The snowfall decorates the frosty scenery, Joey is celebrating his seventeenth birthday, but he has no friends of his own, so his older sisters boyfriend offers to take him to the Arcades and play some Bowling and see a movie.

The night begins well Dani arrives on time and picks up Joey in his flash car tinted windows and the stereo blasting, Dani being a few years older and the more gregarious and outgoing offers him his first spliff

"Here mate happy birthday" He tells him

But Joey politely declines

"More for me then" Dani Jokes

They arrive at the arcades and bowling which also has a pub and is adjacent to the cinema

As they enter they are bumped by two girls

They look at each other after the girls disapear into the night

Dani Says "What was that about?"

"Probably drunk" Joey replies

They continue onto the arcades, when they look at one another when they realise the girls who brushed past them are back

"One of you is a badddd doggy, a very very bad dog, one of you spilt your drink on my friend.... earlier!" She says

Dani brushes off her comment and asks "Is it Halloween ladies or are you just Goths!?" Dani smirks as he's eyes are fixed on the arcade screen but he turns briefly to look them up and down

"Thats for us to know ....and you to find out....Dani .. or Daniel? One of the girls ask

He smiles and nods "Now how would you know that, how do you know my name?"

"Just a guess, you look like a Daniel" She confirms as she laughs "I'm Mel and my friend is Geri"

"AND Mel...you would be Romanian.... and Geri... Gerganna ..you would be Bulgarian?"

Mel laughs " They always say...you have to watch out for the quite ones, so what's your name little man?" She asks Joey

Geri breaks into the conversation " Wait, how did you know that?" She asks looking at Joey

"I dont know i just have this gift, i read people well , maybe its the accents, I'm good with accents you both have very slight accents, and I am Joe" He tells them

Geri is confused "Your a freak little guy...but a cute freak"

Joey smiles and takes it as a compliment from a slightly older attractive girl

Mel looks at Dani "Your clearly the bad one, do you have of the green.. ?

Dani looks confused

"Geez..marijuana?, Its like dumb and dumber are out tonight huh Geri? " Mel's says laughing

Dani nods his head as he now finishes playing the arcades "Where you wanna go?My car?"

Geri shakes her head "Noo, we know a better place... the Cemetery, are you all game?"

They look at each other and nod

"You girls have a ride?"

" Yes! Geri says "You"

They walk out together and drive away to the cemetery

They arrive at the cemetery and take out their beers and weed and start drinking and smoking, both the girls being older than Joey and closer age to Dani have their eye on him and they flirt and tease him. They then hear a sudden howl they Hesitate for a moment they all begin to laugh

"Maybe we should go to the car guys?" Mel suggests

"Dont worry we are far from Transylvania " Mel jokes

"Hey don't worry I will keep the vampires away from you I will protect you from their hooded claw" Dani jokes

"Thats all very nice guys but Transylvania has Vampires right, and Dan you just said you would protect me from the Vampires...thats so sweet really" She says sarcastically, then continues " Firstly I have no idea what a vampire sounds like secondly that sounded to me more like a freaking Wolf! Different creature completely!, Look it up!" She says as she winks at Joey who intensely stares at Geri

They all begin to laugh when suddenly they all stop at the same instant

This time a growl makes them freeze in fear

"Ahhh what is that? " Mel says softly

"Sounded like it got closer .,the howl.. and the growl, irs either a very big dog...or a very angry ghost! we should of went to the car!" Joey whispers

They are almost frozen by fear their half full beer cans fall to the floor, discarded no longer important

Dani gets up "ok lets head to the car" He suggests

As they all stand quietly and get ready to walk to the car, this time they hear a very scary growl

"What was that!" asks Geri

" I don't know.... but it was coming from the direction of the car... iS it one creature? Or ....are we surrounded?" Geri asks

Joey starts to mumble something

"What are you doing?, are you ...praying?" Dani asks Joe

" I don't know, but if we get home safety I promise to a more friendly nicer person if anyone is outthere and I will be more productive and never come to a cemetery again,I'm too young to die, I can't die a virgin!"

"Oh m Gosh your a virgin?" Mel asks

"No ! Joey shouts " I meant ...."

"Ah don't be ashamed Joe ..it's sweet your still a virgin" Geri assures him

"Guys! this really isn't the time for this type of conversation" Dan I suggests

"Look over their by the trees...did you see those eyes? I saw it" Joey says getting up from his knees

"Dan... Dan look " Joey points to the woods

"I don't see it Joe"

Joey the turns to look at the girls

"Where have the girls gone?" Joey asks

"What?" He looks around jeez as if the night couldn't get any worse!" Dani says
"You think they ran or were taken?!" Joe asks

"Wait...,, you don't think they lured us here do you? For something sinister ..or some kind of prank?" Joey asks

"I don't known you wana make a break for it?" Dani asks

"I don't know Dan ...but do you feel that?....like we're being....watched!"
