From Earth to War

Chapter 1). How it All Began

    It started out as a perfectly normal day. Mama left for the Farmer's Market before I woke up. Zack was ... somewhere. His car was gone so... Anyway, it was a perfectly normal day.

    For a bit, at least.

    It was midday when it happened. I had just started setting up to record a new video for my YouTube channel when everything just ... stopped. Presleigh's obnoxious barking, which was muffled through the door to the study, stopped entirely. When I looked, confused at the sudden silence, I saw that she was at the door, her mouth still wide open.

    Faintly alarmed, I looked past her to my other two dogs, my hand loosely grasping my necklace. Tobi was apparently trying to assert his dominance over Presleigh again, despite being two-thirds her size, and was just ... frozen in the middle of a bite to her tummy. Further out into the living room, Buddy was in the middle of licking himself, his head, tongue and raised hind leg seemingly fixed in place.

    I let my hand fall from my necklace, the reality finally clicking. I let out a small huff of humorless laughter, a small, wry smirk forming on my face. So much for normal...

    "Hey, Elimist," I called into the open air. I knew he was here, I just couldn't see him at the moment. "Ya need somethin', or did'ya just drop in for some milk n' cookies?"

    A soft chuckle resounded through the air. He was behind me. Without a word, I turned to face the alien-God-thing, cocking a brow in a silent Well? My smirk was still in place.

    I could never get over the fact that he chooses to appear as an elven Gandalf, if Gandalf was the size of a Hobbit.

    He looked at me with a simple smile. "I would like for you to do something for me." Okay, to the point. Nice.

    "Well?" I prodded when he didn't continue. "What is it?"

    His smile grew. "You'll know."

    My smirk faded. "Wh-what do—?" I blinked and immediately cut myself off in alarm. What in the hell?! This... This wasn't my house...

    I was no longer in the study in my home. I was ... somewhere else. I was in a large room that looked like some kinda futuristic vault or something. And I don' mean Vault-Tec! The walls were lined with blue cubes, about the size of my palm, covered in a sort of geometric design. They seemed identical.

    I looked around frantically for a way out. The Elimist was gone, so he was no help. Shit, shit, shit! Where's the way out?!

    The silent alarm had been triggered, alerting the Jedi council of an intruder in the Holocron Vault. Jedi Master Mace Windu and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker were sent to investigate, along with a small squadron of clone troopers from their respective battalions.

    The brothers stood in front of the vault door, blasters at the ready. Captain Rex and Commander Ponds nodded to their Jedi Generals, signaling the men were ready for whatever was in there. Anakin and Mace nodded in confirmation.

    Master Windu used the Force on the lock, activating the release. The vault door slowly opened. The clones trained their weapons on the figure inside, before slightly relaxing in surprise. They certainly weren't expecting this.

    The Generals were certainly surprised as well. They were expecting a Sith Lord to be behind the vault door, or maybe even a bounty hunter, not ... her.

    Inside, looking rather alarmed and slightly sheepish, was a young girl. She was a fairly small human with fair skin and a slim build. Her hair was dark brown and reached her mid-back, her bangs completely covering her left eye. Her eyes were large and so dark a brown they were nearly black, nearly hidden by her black-rimmed glasses. She wore a simple black shirt and dark blue pants of a strange material none of them had ever seen before. Around her neck was a simple steel chain necklace with a red, heart-shaped stone hanging down at her collarbone. Surrounding the stone was a border of iron spikes. However, the strangest part was that she was completely barefoot.
