As soon as Ariana got home, she threw her stuff on the floor and flopped on her bed. Ariana's parents weren't home at the moment which left her home alone, that was how she liked it.

Just when Ariana was about to pack for the sleepover, she heard a knock on her door that made her jump, she was a bit freaked out because she thought it was weird that someone other than her was home. She grabbed her backpack, ready to defend herself. Ariana slowly opened the door, but when she saw who was actually at her door, she just dropped her backpack. It was Archer.

Archer was Ariana's 17-year-old brother, she hadn't seen him since she was 6, that was when Archer left for Australia for his studies. Archer had black hair and green eyes, like his mother. "Ari?" He asked, he could hardly recognize his sister, it had been so long.

Ariana didn't say anything, all she did was flung her hands around her tall brother and cried a little. "You left me..." She whispered.

"I know, and I'm sorry." Archer comforted. "But I'm here to stay." Ariana let go. "Wow, your room has certainly changed. Why is it only black and white? And your hair, love your new style." He asked while looking around.

Ariana stayed silent but at last, told him. "Those are the only colors I can see..." She said quietly.

Archer stopped looking around and just turned to look at his little sister. "You mean, it got worse?" He had some sympathy in his voice. Ariana nodded. "And your eyes?" He continued. Ariana sighed and hooked the tuff of hair that was covering her violet eye behind her ear and looked straight at Archer. "Oh..."

Ariana walked to her window and let the wind blow through her hair. "I'm lucky enough my hair didn't turn completely white. At least I can see different shades of grey." She turned around to face her brother and let her hair fall back.

"How about Taylor? How is she?" Archer asked, having no idea how she was treating Ariana.

Ariana started reminiscing every single thing her older sister did to her, hitting her, making fun of her, and making her feel worthless. "She's fine I guess..." Ariana lied and tried not to make Archer see through her. "Lady Tay-, I mean Taylor, is at a photo shoot." Ariana realized what she called Taylor and quickly corrected herself. Taylor always told Ariana to add 'Lady' in front of her name and to not tell anyone or else she would beat her, again.

"Lady Taylor?" Archer asked suspiciously, but when he saw Ariana's face, he stopped asking. "Well, where are you going?" He switched the subject as he saw bags on her bed.

"A sleepover at Joanne's, we'll hang out later, kay?" Ariana said and continued to pack as Archer left her room to unpack his things. Ariana sat, leaning on her closed door. "I wish I could tell you..." She sighed. Ariana wanted her mean sister to stop bullying her but if she told Archer then Taylor might 'kill' her.

She packed everything she needed for the night, waved at Archer, and left. Ariana followed the directions Joanne gave her until she came to a red-bricked house.

There, in front of the wooden door, was Joanne with a huge smile on her face. She waved at Ariana and called out her name. Ariana walked towards her house, her hair still covering her one eye. Joanne invited Ariana into the house and led her to her room. Joanne's room was a light shade of purple and blue, all mixed together, but of course, Ariana couldn't see the colors.

Joanne and Ariana had tons of fun, giggling, playing games, and of course, truth or dare. It was all fun and games until Joanne dared Ariana to show her Ariana's other eye she kept concealing.

"You can't back away from a dare, Ari," Joanna told her. "Besides, what is there to be ashamed of?"

Ariana sighed. "Promise not to tell anyone?" She asked. Joanna promised. Ariana slowly revealed what she hid under her hair, then opened her eyes. "There, now you know. I have different colored eyes and I'm colorblind." She looked ashamed.
