Prologue

The waves crashed against the shore. The howling wind ripped across the dark, stormy beach. The clouds darkened, heavy with rain.

A lone woman, still standing on the gloomy shore, cried a bloodcurdling scream. No one but the roaring sea heard her.

"Why? Why did you have to take my sweet, innocent daughter?" she screeched, her hair flaying around like wild midnight black whips.

A melodic tune began to play softly, and the woman raised her head and looked out to the ocean.

"You will trade me for her? That's all?" the woman snorted. "I will do anything to keep her away from you, ugly sea witch."

The waves begun to increase until a giant, seven-foot wave was summoned, and the young woman is swept way. In her place, a young 15-year-old girl stands.
