The snowball effect

The snowball effect

Soft grey flowers

Warm sweet honey

A small smile that means nothing

A happy kid

A good life

Until the darkness comes

and takes her life

In the dark

She remembers the days

Where she would

Go out in the snow and play

Build a ball so thick and strong

Little did she know

it won't melt at all

Throughout her life

The snowball grew

Until it was the size of me and you

It picked up all the dirty lies

And rumours that

decided how she lives by

As it followed

the lies got worse

Until the girl wanted to burst

Happy thoughts changed to death

Because the snowball

took away all her happiness

She looked outside one winter day

And saw a girl go out to play

Remembering the times

when she did the same

The girl frowned and walked away

Reality had come through

To the girl we once knew

And no longer

could the snowball keep rolling

It kept playing with her thoughts

Messing with her dreams

Because it kept rolling

Stopping the ball

Would stop all her fears

But It kept going

leaving her in tears

The snowball became

the size of a house

And with all the lies

the girl was stuck

She hated the life

she loved one day

But the love left her today

The snowball keeps on rolling

Taking away all happiness

It is ruled by people

The mean and useless

With all the rumours and lies said

The snowball will end her happiness

Because it grows

and grow it does

She will never find her way

Throughout the pain

throughout the lies

All these terrible rumours lie

'she is a slut'

'she is a whore'

'she is death'

'I wouldn't care about a girl like her'

The words screamed

through her head

Like some sick video

She watched in bed

Who would care about this sad girl

All the lies make her terrible

Her ugliness swallows her up

And the thoughts keep rolling

On this big snowball

Roll and roll and roll again

This snowball has no end
