Your POV
I walked behind Branch with the letter in my hand blushing like crazy. I took a deep breath. I look back at the 3 girls and they smiled giving me a thumbs up. I then looked at Branch
'It's ok, (Y/n).' I thought to myself. 'You can do this.'
I went to tap him on the shoulder, but Poppy stopped everyone.
"Wait!"
As we made it to the King's room, we looked to see the king on a treadmill, listening to music. Good. He's distracted. We all then looked around for the locket.
"There it is!" Poppy exclaimed as she saw it on the bed.
She and the others ran to the bed, but I grabbed Branch's arm. He turned to look at me as I held the letter up to my blushing face.
"(Y/n)? Are you okay?" He asked looking concerned.
"H-here." I said, giving him the letter as I looked down. "D-don't, read it until we get back home. Okay?"
"...Okay."
I flew to the others as he followed behind. We get on the bed with everyone else as we reached the locket.
"Creek, we'll have you out of there in a second." Poppy said, trying to open it.
"Hurry!" The others rushed.
Me and Branch tried to help, but it was no use.
"It's stuck!" Branch said.
I then turned around to see Barnabus glaring at us.
"G-g-guys?!" I stuttered terrified.
Everyone then looked and saw Barnabus.
"Run!" Poppy and Clover yelled.
We ran away from Barnabus as he chased us.
"Hey, guys! Over here!" Clover flew over to a rollerblade on the bed.
"Everyone, get in!" Jenell shouted.
"Let's go!" Aliki said, helping everyone in.
"Branch, give him to me." Poppy demanded.
Barnabus leapt on the bed, making us flyout the door. As we rolled down the halls, the King's pet was still behind us.
"Everybody hold on!" Poppy shouted.
"Hold it steady, guys." Biggie said.
I looked forward to see a dead end, but saw a right path.
"Satin, Chenille, sharp right!" Clover shouted.
"Let's do it!" Satin yelled as she launched Chenille on to the light.
As they made the turn, Satin brought her back, but Barnabus was still after us.
"Guy Diamond, glitter him!" Poppy yelled.
"Eat glitter! Ha-ha!" He grabbed a shoe lace, hopped on the wheel, and shot glitter in Barnabus' eyes, making him lose control and wipeout.
When Guy Diamond got back on, his butt was fully silver. We looked forward and screamed as we were heading for a wet floor sign.
"Hold on!" Poppy said.
We went up the sign, crashing through the window, but it made Poppy let go of the locket, and it went in Barnabus' mouth making him choke. I gasped.
"Creek!" Poppy yelled.
Barnabus was sliding across the wet floor than rammed into the wall coughing up the locket, sending it flying towards us. I jumped off heading towards the it and grabbing it.
"Branch!" I yelled launching my hair at him as he did the same.
When our hairs gripped, Branch pulled me back on the rollerblade, then we all screamed as we crashed through another window.
We crashed landed as the locket was in the air, but luckily Poppy and Clover caught.
"Gotcha!" They both said.
They opened it, only for it to be empty.
"Huh'? No!" Poppy exclaimed. "He can't be gone!"
"No..." I said sadly. "We're too late."
"Actually..." We all turned around to see the Chef with a cage. "...your timing is PERFECT!"
She set us down on a counter top in the kitchen, while Clover Aliki and Janell were holding me.
"Sorry, but I can't have you leaving before tomorrow's dinner." Chef said sinisterly. "A dinner to which you are all invited. And when I say all... I mean every Troll in Troll Village."
"You'll never find them!" Poppy exclaimed. "Not where they're hiding."
"Yeah!" Clover agreed, standing beside Poppy.
"Oh, you're right. I couldn't find them. But I could with someone they know. Someone they trust. Someone... Like this guy."
She reach in her pouch and pulled out Creek.
"What...?" I asked confused.
"Creek! You're alive!" Poppy said with joy.
Everyone cheered except me and Branch. That look on his face... something wasn't right.
"He's selling us out!" Branch yelled as he started choking him with his hair.
"Branch! Wait!" Poppy went to stop him. "I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation. At least give him a chance."
"Thank you, Poppy." Creek said. "I'm selling you out."
Then Poppy started choking him as everyone went to stop her. Eventually she stopped as he explained everything.
Needless to say...I HATED him.
"Is my sweetums in there?"
He looked in and saw me as Janell and Aliki held me tight and I held them as they each gave Creek a disgusted look.
"She doesn't like to be called that, Creep!" Janell shouted.
"Or the cheek pinching!" Aliki added.
He just ignored them looking at me.
"Sweetums," Creek started. "I know this may look bad, but I'm willing to let you live out here with me."
I look at him in anger and disgust. I then stood up.
"Stay alive with YOU?" I then walked towards the bars, while he and the others seemed surprised at my sudden outburst. "While all the ones I care about are being EATEN?! Thanks, but no thanks! I'd rather die with everyone else, than ever live with YOU!"
"Yeah, I think she has her answer, buddy." Clover said crossing her arms sendig him a cold glare, while he gave her an unamused one.
"Oh well." Creek said. "Ya, win some, ya lose some, I guess."
I just glared at him.
"But one more thing..."
Before I got the chance to responded, he grabbed me and kissed me.
"HANDS OFF HER!!!" Two voices said.
Thankfully it was cut short. I backed away to see him being choked by both Branch and Clover.
"BRANCH! STOP!" Poppy yelled trying to stopped him.
"CLOVER! CHILL!" Aliki yelled trying to do the same thing.
As everyone else tried to help stop them, I sat down at the other side of the cage, then I saw my fake colors draining.
'......There's no point in even trying anymore, is there?' I thought sadly, removing my hat. 'I'm going to die with everyone else anyways......'
