I walked up the path to my house. The cream stone looked out-of-place because all the other houses had plain stone. Tory stood at the door, arms crossed.
"Why didn't you come pick me up from basketball?!" He shouted, walking towards me. He was 18, he had Mum's brown hair and green eyes, like me.
"Sorry." I said back.
"I was waiting there for ages! I told Mum and she was worried sick! Then suddenly you decide to text. What are you wearing? Mum and Dad didn't get you that, or me, or you."
"If you had let me explain. I got kidnapped but was allowed to change out of my theatre clothes." His expression softened, then went to anxious.
"By who?"
"Emmmm......Well......It was......Eh.......Kinda....." I drifted off, not knowing what to say.
"Wait was it? I AM GOING TO KILL FREDDIE!" He exclaimed pushing past me.
"Tory wait." I grabbed his arm and he turned. "He only did it to give me my birthday present, because he knew I wouldn't want him to give it to me at school." Tory now noticed the necklace.
"Wow! How'd he pay for it?" He picked the charm up in his hand.
"Don't know but he wants you to go round to the gangs place, says your not going enough." He let the charm drop and then looked into my eyes.
"You aren't? You can't! Are you seeing him?" Tory knew how to read me easily. I could feel all the blood drain, slowly from my face.
"I agreed to see what it was like but if he does something wrong then it's over and he'll leave me alone." Tory's face was a mixture of emotions now. Beep! My phone buzzed in my pocket. I took it out then pressed the answer button.
"Hey," I said.
"Hey Connie." Freddie. How'd he have my number?
"How do you have my number?" I asked.
"Oh, when you were out I got your phone and put your number into mine. Anyway, do you wanna catch a movie tonight?" God, I only agreed to see him like 20 minutes ago.
"What movie?" I asked cautiously.
"Prometheus?" He asked.
"Sure, what times it on and which cinema?"
"Cineworld, 9pm."
"See you then."
"Bye." I finished the call and then saw Tory.
"Emmm, I'm going out tonight." I turned and started walking but he caught my arm.
"With who?"
"Ehhhhhhhh, Freddie."
"Your not going."
"Do you want to be in the gang?" He hesitated then bowed his head in defeat.
"Yes."
"Then I'm going." He let my arm go. I walked up the small steps and then into the house. Directly in-front of me was a long staircase leading upstairs, I walked up them and then into a door on my right. The walls had a picture of the sunset on and the ceiling was a picture of a dolphin, swimming out to sea. The double bed at the far corner had a really light orange duvet and yellow and pink pillows. It also had a walk-in-wardrobe, desk, chair, mirror, en-suit and microphones, guitars, drum kits etc dotted around the room. I walk in and head to the wardrobe.
"What should I wear to the cinema." I walked along the rows of clothes and came out with a floaty, royal blue dress which had thin straps and went down to knee-height. Then I found a pair of royal blue pumps. I gently changed and slowly put my hair up in a messy bun then I applied a small layer of make-up and I was ready. Grabbing my white purse I put my phone and money in then I jogged downstairs. Tory was waiting for me.
"You look nice." He said through gritted teeth.
"Can you let me past." I replied but still he didn't move. I tried to go around him but he stepped in my way.
"Do you actually like him?" He asked, I burst into a fit of laughter.
"No!"
"Good, you may go now." He stepped aside and I walked out.
"Oh can you pass me my keys." Tory chucked my car keys out then shut the door. I walked to my black Nissan Pathfinder and clicked the keys. I opened the door then got in. Turning the engine on I started my drive to the cinema.
10 minutes later
I parked my car and then walked into the cinema. Freddie was standing next to the sweets section. He was getting loads of looks from people, probable because he was wearing Hawaiian shorts and a green tee. He looked okay but I really felt out of place seeing him. I walked up quietly and then said.
"I never know which bag to choose, jelly beans or haribo's, so I normally get both." He nodded not realising it was me because I put on an accent. Then when I didn't move he looked up and stared at me.
"Stop staring." I hissed at him. Slowly he picked out jelly beans and haribo's then gave them to me.
"Your favourites?" He asked.
"Yes." Freddie took my right hand in his left and then slowly looked up, seeing if I was going to pull away, but I didn't. Instead I pulled him after me to the pay desk where I ordered a coke and he ordered a diet coke.
"I thought you gang leader always had coke." He shook his head.
"Only the gang leaders in L.A. drink coke, but here in London we have diet. The problem is I have heard that the main gang leader from L.A., Brandon, has recently come to London for a bit and is causing mayhem for the gangs here." The cokes arrived and I was about to pay when Freddie handed money over.
"You didn't have to pay." I said as we walked to the screen.
"It's fine, I wanted to treat you on your birthday." We found seats and sat down. waiting for the movie to start.
"Why are you being nice?" I asked. He looked me in the eye and with a sigh replied.
"I wanted to show you that I'm not always angry or basically in your eyes, a jerk." The movie had started so I didn't answer, just sat and watched the movie.
