Chapter 6: Further Understanding

Kirino's POV

We walked by at the side walks with a small distance to each other. And we were almost there in my house which is one sharp left in the corner. Good thing there are street lights in this place or else we won't be seeing the light of day. 

Speaking of the light of the day, there is no point on pulling Kariya towards it. I mean how? We're not fond of each others presence at all. During at all soccer fields yes, but when it comes to social, he's different. Ah yes, speaking of social, I wonder how Shindou is doing? I'm basically worried about him after that outburst I made, it's my fault...

 "Thinking about Shindou-senpai?" I looked directly at Kariya who's eyes are blank looking what's in front of him. There's no point in denying it, so I nod, looking at my direction back.

"He messaged me back at the Sun Garden while we're playing Uno, and this is a perfect opportunity to tell this." I putted a calm face in the outside but in the inside it was the opposite. I heard him sigh.

"Do you really have to make things that complicated? Seriously? What more do you want?" What was he talking about?

"Still don't get it do you?" He stopped, as I did the same, looking at him straight in the eyes with confusion "Shindou likes you."

I froze in spot, no words coming out in my mouth. He wouldn't know about that confession Shindou spat out, he can't, but how? Instead of Kariya maliciously and slyly look at me, he didn't. He's only looking at me as if, its not a big deal.

"You're scared, I know that. You're worried about what the students might think about your sexual orientation. You're scared, on what might happen to Shindou-senpai himself"

"Kariya what makes you say that?"

Kariya flashed a mischievous smile "Don't try and change the subject senpai...I want a reason why and I'm not letting you get away until I get what I want."

I gritted my teeth and sucked my breath "Yes you're right, I'm scared, though it's not only for me, but for Shindou's sake. I got startled, confusingly. H-he's my best friend...and I wanted to be in that same zone as him 'till the very end." I paused.

"I'm scared that I might ruin things for the both of us..." I sounded helpless right in front oh him, and I'm embarrass to look at him with that mischievous grin of his.

"If you like the person or even love them, it doesn't matter" I open my mouth in agape with a weak gasp that came out. "It's better  to cross the line and suffer the consequences than just to stare at the line for the rest of your life, wouldn't that be no fun at all?"

I look at him still with the same reaction "H-how..."

Just then, a car passed by beside us as it' bright light shone in on us, making me see clearly his whole face with pure joy "I'm much more me when I'm with you" but I doubt that kind of attitude...he looks desperate.

Shindou's POV

I stood outside of Kirino's gate till waiting for him to come back. Even if my eyes are droop, I'll wait 'till he comes back, he's the reason why I grew strong, to support me in the baddest of days, he's there for me. Too cheesy? Well have some cheetos then.

Without me noticing, I saw him standing in front of me causing me to startle "K-KIRINO! Y-you're here! I didn't saw you---Wait, how are you feeling? Are you oka---!"

I was gladly met by a pair of arms being wrapped around my neck as he buried his face on my shoulder, feeling his hot tears being stained in my shoulder, but I didn't mind. "I'm sorry about what happened, if I didn't react nor let my emotions take over me, I shouldn't have pushed you forward. I'm sorry Shindou." Even his muffling, I could still understand him. I hugged him back, smiling.

"I understand you, heck, we must've gone in the same road as well. It was hard but, I realize that who cares? I have you." 

"You don't have to apologize, because I've already forgiven you." I brought his face out to look at me straight on vice-versa. I continued "I'm amazed when I look you. Not because of your looks, but because of the fact that everything I've ever wanted is right in front of me." 

I paused "And I want to thank you for being my reason to look forward to the next day."

I caress his face as our foreheads already touched, I heard him laughing "You're such a---"

I didn't let him finish his sentence as I brought his lips into mine. Wrapping my arms on his waist, I pulled him closer. We were in rhythm and in sync and it was perfect.

We pulled away to catch our breaths as I can see his cheeks, red. It was very cold outside but the heat we just felt in each other, the old was immune to us. He pecked my nose before speaking "I love you, Shindou"

I smiled, as I kissed him long lastingly "I love you too, Kirino"

In the next day...

"Min'na! Soko ni tanoshinde kudasai!" Coach Endou shouted at us happily as we shouted back at him "UN!"

We were at the soccer field playing against Teikoku. And surprisingly, I am not wearing the captain's band anymore. It was Tenma who's wearing it from now on.

 We discussed this both and he practically approved to it, and I know Tenma can do it. From the moment he joined in Raimon, he has the quality to be the captain. But we were always there to support him.

And speaking of support, there he is, my one and only RanMYsa.

"Be careful out there, I wouldn't want seeing you get hurt." Kirino said with a smile as I did the same.

"Why would I be? You got your eyes on my back"

"You'll never know" He winked at me before going back to his position. I saw Kariya in the corner somewhat annoyed, and he looked at my direction. I flash a small smile on him as he looked somewhat fustrated. He turned to me and replied me a forced smile. 

I know why, and he knows
