The Nerd I Loved (Block B Taeil)

Chapter 14

Biology seemed like forever, especially that the assignment was partner work and Jaehyo was being practically useless.

"So, what would be the first step of protein synthesis?" I asked, trying to figure out the question.

"I'm not a nerd, ask Taeil," he stated with a shrug. I gave him a glare.

"Taeil is not in our group, and you should be helping me instead of being on your phone playing Flappy Bird," I spat.

"Oh, really? I thought this school was different from all the other ones," He said sarcastically, still playing on his phone.

I grunted and snatched his phone while his eyes widened.

"Yah! I was about to beat my high score!" He cried.

"Too bad," I spat, putting the phone in my left hand and stretching it out so he won't be able to grab it. He slightly stood up from his chair and attempted to grab it but he failed, but then he started poking my sides.

"You ticklish?" He asked, poking my sides and causing me to jump.

"N-no, stop it," I said, but then he held no mercy for me and made me laugh to where I couldn't breathe while he smirked at his plan working.

"Yah! Seriously," I said out of breath, my stomach aching. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Taeil just looking at us. No happy expression, no saddened expression, just a plain face, watching us. I put his phone back near his grasp and he stopped.

"Here's your phone," I muttered.

He smiled brightly. "Thank you"

After that, I just decided to do all the work by myself, this boy isn't doing anything but he probably got me in trouble with Taeil. What if he thinks we were flirting? I was just trying to get him to participate.

Although it looked a lot like flirting, I'm still saying it wasn't. I can't control myself when people tickle me, it's my weakness and I end up laughing till it hurts.

When class was over, I came up to Taeil and he smiled, causing me to be at ease. Maybe he's not mad.

"I need you to sit by me next time!" I whined, grabbing both his hands and intertwining our fingers.

"I know, I told Jihoon to sit next to Jaehyo next time," He replied. I smiled and felt much better when he said that.

"Now, go to your next class, you shouldn't be late," He told me.

"Okay, when will I see you again?" I asked.

"Maybe after school if you pass by the choir room?" He said. I nodded.

"Okay, bye," I said. He pulled me to him and pecked my lips and held me tight as if he'd never want to let go.

"I love you," He said. There goes the butterflies ..

"I love you too," I said, smiling like crazy. He gave me one last smile before walking off, then I bumped into someone .. for the second time today.

"Oh, hi Taeil's girlfriend!" Greeted Zico. I giggled.

"Will you ever call me by my name?" I ask.

"Taeil's girlfriend suits you more," Zico said, patting my head since he was so tall. I made a face at him and he made a derp face back, causing me to laugh.

"So, which class are you going to?" He asked.

"World history, it's upstairs," I replied.
