Chapter 2

I just laid on the sofa for the rest of the day flicking through Netflix and eating junk food. I sighed and looked at the shiny clock on the wall and saw that Josh would be home soon. I started to tidy up the lounge and put everything back in it's proper place. I then gathered all the rubbish into a bag. Just as I was about to leave the room I saw my phone flash and vibrate. I picked it up and saw 1 new message from Blake. It read

"Hello princess, you can hide from me forever-Blake xx"I was sickened by his text and threw my phone on the sofa not bothering to reply. I then walked out into the kitchen and started to make dinner for Josh and I.

"Dinner smells amazing Lils what you making?" Yelled Josh walking in through the front door

"Just spaghetti" I shouted back

"Well it still smells great. Here let me serve it, you sit"grinned Josh entering the room and gesturing me to take a seat on the nearest chair. I gave him a small smile before handing over the pan and taking a seat.

I watched as he carefully put a portion of spaghetti on each plate and brought them over to the table.

"Thanks Josh" I mumbled as I started to eat my food.

"What's wrong Lils, you have been acting really strange these last few weeks, barely said a word to me. You can tell me anything you know. Your my little sister and I would do anything to protect you" stated Josh looking up at me his sea blue eyes meeting mine.

"Nothing I'm fine Josh please let it go" I whispered. I could feel my lips starting to tremble and tears fiercely building up in my eyes. Threatening to leak out at any moment. I couldn't tell him what Blake had done to me

"Please lily" mumbled Josh and with those few words I broke down onto the hard wooden floor. All words had vanished from my mouth and all I could do was let the recurring tears fall.

"He won't go away Josh, I'm so scared" I managed to choke out. Strong arms wrapped around me and I buried my head into Josh's firm chest

"Whatever this is lily we will sort it out" soothed Josh

"What of he comes back what shall I do" I whimpered

"I'll protect you. Please tell me what happened" Josh asked and with that I told him the story of Blake and how he ruined me.

I woke up at 7am the next morning in my old comforting bedroom. I must have fell asleep in Josh's arms after explaining to him the situation. I mentally cursed myself for bringing Josh into my problems but at the same time glad I was no longer alone. I snuggled back down and felt myself slowly drifting back to sleep.

I finally traipsed out of bed at about 11am deciding it was time I went downstairs to see Josh. As I neared the kitchen I heard gentle sobs coming from that way. I entered the room and saw Josh with his head in his hands on the kitchen table

"Josh are you okay?" I questioned

"Lily I should of been here for you more, looked after you. It should never have gotten this bad" cried Josh

"None of this is your fault" I soothed walking over to my brother and wrapping him in a hug

"I think we should move away. Get an apartment somewhere else. In a different country maybe?" Josh suggested

"Josh I could never let you do that. All your friends and your girlfriend are here. I can't just let you leave you life behind for me" I firmly stated

"Lily we have to get out of here. Your the most important person in my life and I need to protect you. My friends will understand. Let's just leave move to America maybe" pleaded Josh

"You need to think about your life josh" I murmured looking to the ground

"Your life is my life Lils. We are moving to America. My friend has a place in Los Angeles. I'm sure he will let us stay till we get a place of our own" Josh explained

I debated over the idea in my head for a while, but deep down I know it's for the best. It will be a big change in both our lives and to be honest I was quite exited. I don't really have any friends around me so I won't be missing anything about this place really. It is just filled with bad memories. This move will be a fresh start, new beginning, a chance to do something with my life.

"Okay let's do it" I smiled looking at my now grinning brother
