lie to me

sonnet

when we met, i didn't actually think

that you would have such an impact on me

we had such a spark from the beginning

i didn't think that it would end so soon

i have realized who i'm truly to be

because i was certain, that you loved me

but then you left me, for reasons unknown

you did return, although i had been broke

i let you fix me, all with a band-aid

old feelings returned; i guess, you weren't

ever ready to wait on our bad love

you were my forever and always, but

i guess i was not yours, as you left me

"i love you's" were you giving lies to me
