After a few days of getting over my amputation, I started to think of Johnathan, and if he was okay.  I realized that if he was with me he could have been hurt too, or killed.

Within a few weeks I was able to walk with crutches, and was going through rehabilitation.  I chose not to be fitted with a prosthetic, because I am allergic to nickle and didn't want to take that risk, but did get fitted for a sock in case I changed my mind.

A month later I was off crutches and was doing well at home.  I was watching videos from fellow amputees on how to use my stump in my everyday life, and due to the fact that I'm right handed this wasn't hard.
