In Kenya, 1871, a lion cub named Simba was mourning the loss of his dead father, Mufasa. Simba cried for help, but no one came. The little cub began to cry.
Meanwhile, Christine Daae and Raoul de Chagny were riding their horse through the African Gorge. Then, Christine pointed at something. "What is that?" Christine asked Raoul. "It looks like a male lion." Raoul thought. "Whatever it is, he's hurt." Christine explained. They rode towards the ion, but when they got there, they knew they were too late. Christine sobbed as she felt sorry for the lion. Then Raoul said to Christine, "Look, under the lion's paw!"Christine lifted the paw and found Simba crying. "Why are you crying, little guy?" Christine asked Simba. "The wildebeest and he tried to save me. It was an accident. I didn't mean for it to happen." Simba cried. "You knew this lion?" Raoul asked? "He was my father." Simba told Raoul. "It's okay. My father died too." Christine said as she was comforting Simba. "You want us to take you to the Paris Opera House?" Raoul asked. "Sure." Simba answered. Christine and Raoul took Simba to the Paris Opera House and raised Simba as their own son.
