Kyuri quickly finished packing her suitcase, and quietly crept out of her bedroom. She could hear her parents yelling at each other, and something crashing down onto the floor. Her feet moved faster, and silently closed the front door behind her as she exited the house.
"Yoona," she called out quietly when she reached her best friend's house. She had entered the backyard through the unlocked gate and was now standing in front of Yoona's bedroom on the first floor of their two-story house. She heard shuffling from indoors, and curtains pulling back to reveal a smiling Yoona. She then proceeded to unlock and open the window for Kyuri to climb through. Once she made it through, she looked around the familiar room and sighed.
"Thank you so much, Yoons," Kyuri said and hugged her. Yoona embraced back, snuggling into her shoulder.
"Ya welcome babe, anytime."
The two girls felt exhausted from staying up so late, and were knocked out as soon as they climbed into Yoona's bed.
I wish that I could leave this awful place, Kyuri thought before drifting off into deep sleep.
