~heyo quick authors note, I️ just wanted to inform you that this is a very short story, only one chapter. Also, listen to the music ⬆️ as you read, it makes it 10 times more suspenseful, please enjoy!~

This cellar is dark and wet. I️ am shivering even in the coat and boots I️ stole. There are sounds of life pounding from upstairs. Well, not exactly life. We are hiding from the rogue androids that now roam our streets, searching for human beings. We learned the hard way not to be seen by the robots. The last thing I️ ever saw of those monsters was horrible. And the last thing you'll ever see if they get their metal hands on you, is the incinerator, looming over you. Then-well, I️ bet you can guess what happens. Whatever's left of that person is...ashes. So trust me, you don't wanna be seen. The androids we are under attack from are eliminating any life. Plants, animals....people...They believe they are cleansing the planet, as we are "dirty spawn." Everyone is fearing that this may be the end, mankind will go extinct by its own creation. Just as scientists had predicted so long ago. I️ think this will be my last day, before our people's lights are shut off. One by one, dropping like flies. With the chip implant all the escapees have, and a single click of a button, we will die, and our hearts are stopped. But they will have to find us first. Thankfully, the chips cannot be tracked. The escaped prisoners will just have to wait until their time is up, and they are found. Then, I️ hear a creak on the floorboards overhead. The squeal of a latch being opened and lifted. The thud of descending footsteps down the stairs and into the cellar. Then, silence. Almost immediately after that, a bright blue light shone over 11 shaved heads, crouching behind barrels. "Prisoners found," said the android, "immediate termination is in order." Then, the light turned red, almost blinding me, and shut off. I opened my mouth to scream, but I️ never did. "Termination request denied," I️t paused. Then it continued, "returning escaped prisoners to the laboratory." As we were grabbed, cuffed, and lugged onto the shiny silver truck we all feared, I️ looked over the horizon, the light receding almost as fast as my will to live. I hope one day, peace will come to this planet. But for now, the only peace I'll get is when I'm dead. That peace came sooner then I️ thought it would. As the truck rumbled over the crumbling roads, we reached the facility. The prisoners heads were all hooked up to the machines used for interrogation of enemies. We are the enemies. After they got all the information they needed, human dna and such, we were loaded up onto the incinerator, with me in the front. As the track moved me slowly to my death, i noticed the artificial lights shining above me on the blank white ceiling, giving off a sickly yellow light. The unwelcoming glow gave me dark thoughts, but I️ waited for my peace to come all the same. Turning my eyes to the lights above me, I️ heard the buzz of the incinerator, and knew it was right below me. Then, my vision turned red, and I️ never saw any light again.
