As Jesse walked into school, the voices that followed them uttered incoherent nonsense, distracting their walk throughout the halls of the large building. They were unable to properly focus on the events taking place around them. The voices were to loud. So as they always do, they placed their headphones upon their head, blaring music as loud as possible from the speakers, though the sound of the voices lingered just loud enough to be present, the music distracted them from these annoyances. Purging their thoughts of self loathing with the lyrics, that simply flowed along the sound of the beat. A faint smile crept onto their face. They walked to their first hour class. Once they had arrived, they sat down in their seat as the teacher approached. He tapped Jesse's shoulder, prompting them to take one side of the headset off their ear. They look at the teacher, a tall slim man in black dress pants held up by a brown leather belt. A white long sleeve button up shirt that had a black folded, and black cuffs at the wrist. His hair was black and greasy, almost looking as if it were made from oil. A long silver tie went from the man's neck to the buckle of his belt. He soon spoke in a low smooth voice with a slight southern drawl. "Take those head phones off. I dont want to see them for rest of this class you understand?" He says aggressively. Jesse nodded removing the headset from their head, allowing the cluttered voices to return. They silenced their music and packed his MP3 and their headphones away into their backpack. Soon their friend Sera walked into the class and sat by them. They could never help but smile once she arrived. Today she wore a white t shirt with black jeans. Her smile warm and inviting. It was infectious, once most of the kids in the school gazed upon her happy grin, they all smiled. She was wearing her black choker, along with her usual beanie covering her bald head. She's a brave girl. Especially if she can smile in her situation. She sits by them as home room begins, the teacher begins listing babes as the children who those names belonged to responded with here. The occasional smart Alec saying "there" or "not here". Once he called upon Jesse, they raised their hand and said "Present". It's an odd choice, but it's how they choose to respond. It's Friday, naturally giving the children a free period, since its just before winter break, the kids are allowed to explore the school. Jesse goes to revive their headphones until Sera pulls on the hood of their jacket. "Come on, I wanna show you something." Jesse nods in agreement then stands. Putting their backpack on after zipping it back up. She leads them out of the class room, through its the schools long corridors, and into one of the areas where you could stand outside surrounded by the halls of the school. Sometimes they had class out here. Though this wasn't often. She sits them on a bench as she points to something under a stone table set up so kids could work out here, a few baby raccoons asleep in a lunch box left under that table earlier in the year. Sera suddenly speaks. "I found them yesterday, they seem to live in that box. Aren't they cute? Jesse? Hellooo?" Jesse was distracted, they were looking towards a dark cloaked figure, standing with long boney fingers. And a face engulfed in shadows by a thick good. Suddenly, they're slapped with a firm hand as Jesse blinks, the figure disappearing as he hears Sera's voice once more. "You zoned out buddy." Jesse apologized, she must not have seen the odd figure. She restated her question as Jesse agreed with her. Soon the bell ring as bothered Jesse and Sera walked into the school. They part ways and walk to their next classes. Jesse's is their least favorite. Italian. They walk to it almost wishing to burn to death just so they wouldn't have to go. But theirs one bright side. Adeline. One of their best friends. They enter the class and sit down at their desk. Wishing they sat closer to Adeline. They'd have to wait until class was near over to speak her. Jesse blinks, then upon opening their eyes, their standing in the center of a hospital room. Seeing a girl laying on a hospital bed, a heart rate monitor beeping, slowly. They approach it. With every step, it gets slower, and slower, and slower. Then it stops. The girl in the bed has died. They go to see who it is. Soon the sound if their name stops them. "Jesse. Jeeesse." The voice says. "Jesse!" They jerk awake as they realise it was a dream. They had fallen asleep in class. They had had this dream multiple times. But they dint quite know what it means.
