"I love you! See you in a few months." My mom hugged me tightly before allowing me to catch my flight."I love you too Mom." I smiled grabbing the handle to my second carry-on. "It's just the summer I'll be back soon."
"No need to tell me twice," mom smiled, "now go to your plane before it leaves without you."
"I will." I laughed. "I love you."
"I love you too." She spoke as I walked away slowly.
"I love you so much." I turned to look at her once more.
"I love you too." She nodded with a smirk.
"I love yo-"
"You're going to miss your flight." She almost laughed.
"Sorry," I turned back and sped walked toward my gate, "I love you!"
"I love you too!" She yelled as I reached for my ticket.
I haven't been all by myself before. I think that to most people who hear this would think I am some kind of loser, still 22 and living with my parents. It's not about the inability to live alone, and I do have a job so I do pay rent. The thing is my family, not just me, all lives with my parents. It sounds strange I know, but it's fun, I can see everyone in my close family anytime of day. Everyone out of highschool pays rent and the house is more of a farm then a house giving all of us enough space.
Never the less because of this, I am nervous of going on a plane by myself.
Though I know I'm going to land safely, I just don't trust that I will walk to the right place once I get off.
That would be the reason my mom was with me at the gate, we got a pass for one person to go through this far with me. Now I know I am at the right gate, I am going to the right destination, and the right person will pick me up.
I am ready.
I think.
