Chapter 1

The sun was rising over the camp when my parents and I got back onto RiverClan territory. Raven looked around. "I could never forget this place." He meowed in the silence. Sky nodded. "I can't wait to see Nettlestream!" Sky seemed to be dancing on her tiptoes. "Alright. Let's go!" I was just as happy as them. Maybe more. I pushed through the camp entrance. Smokefur spotted me and rushed at me. "Where were you? The whole Clan was worried when the deputy and the leader just disappeared out of thin air," Smokefur looked behind me. "Where is Leopardstar?" He asked worriedly. I bowed my head. "She's dead." I whispered.

"What? How?"

"Brokenshadow. I mean Brokenstar." I meowed bitterly. Smokefur looked horrified as I explained the story and who Raven and Sky were. "WHAT? Your wack-a-doo sister is a leader?" More of the Clan was gathered around us. I bounded through the clearing and onto Tall Rock. "Attention! I will explain everything that has happened yesterday and last night!" I explained the story again to the the rest of the Clan. "So Leopardstar is dead and you are leader?" Nettlestream meowed confused that I was his sister. "I think That some warrior ceremonies need to be done." I turned to Lightpaw, Blossompaw and Waterpaw need to become warriors. They have shone patience while Clan chaos was happening around them. Waterpaw," I turned to the gray tom. "I, Moonstar, leader of RiverClan call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Waterpaw eyes were huge. "I do."

"Then Waterpaw from this moment on you will be known as Waterstorm. I welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan."

I turned to Blossompaw. "Blossompaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do."

"Then Blossompaw from this moment on you will be known as Blossomheart. I welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan."

"Now Lightpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"Yes!" Lightpaw said eagerly.

"Then Lightpaw from this moment on you will be known as Lightstrike. I welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan."

All three new warriors puffed out their chest's.

"Waterstorm! Blossomheart! Lightstrike!" The Clan chanted. "I will also be appointing a deputy. Tinycloud? Will you be my deputy? You are a skilled fighter and I trust you to help me lead the Clan." Tinycloud looked astonished. "Of course Moonstar! I would love to!" Tinycloud padded up and sat proudly at the base of Tall rock." The Clan started to leave thinking that the meeting had ended. "Wait! We have two new cats in our Clan! Sky? Raven? Would you become a full part of our Clan?"

Sky looked at Raven, they nodded together.

"Then Sky you shall be known as Skypaw and Raven you will be known as Ravenpaw until both of you have learned how to become warriors."

I looked into the crowd and picked out Swiftfoot and Elmsky. "Swiftfoot! Please teach Skypaw all you know." I turned to Elmsky. "Please teach Ravenpaw everything you know."

"Skypaw! Ravenpaw!" The Clan shouted. "Meeting over!" I called. I stood looking over my Clan, proud.
