Sonic P.O.V
I walked with all my new friends,tails smiled at me,I think he was kind of looking up to me somehow,he was only 8,he must have been the smartest baby in the world! Amy asked if we could have a sleep over sometime and I smiled and said yes,life was being very kind to me today. I skipped down to the gate and waited for shadow,I was wondering how he was since I saw him during lunch,maybe he had figured it out. Shadow walked down the lawn and ignored me walked right past me,I knew shadow and I knew when he was hiding something.
Shadow P.O.V
I'd never,ever,do that on purpose,I hadn't noticed that I walked right past my best friend,although I don't think he was upset I could feel his eyes follow me but I didn't feel that burning sensation I'd always get when someone glared at the back of my head. I walked down the sidewalk knowing sonic wasn't behind me,like he always was. But my mind,it was full,my father had called me and that's one of my darkest secrets.
