"Let's go, warriors, let's go!" I start cheering, getting the crowd pumped! I was the captain of the cheer squad, so it was my job basically.
My boyfriend Hayes, was on the football field playing as the quarterback. He and I were known as the "OTP" of the whole school, not because he was the captain of the football team and me of the cheer squad but because we've been together ever since sixth grade.
He was my best friend, luckily my neighbor and everyone just thought we were perfect for each other.
"C'mon babe" I whispered under my breath.
He was so close to scoring the winning touch down. Hayes runs and makes the touchdown right before time ran out.
The crowd goes wild, but before they all go crazy Hayes takes off his helmet and starts jogging back to the sidelines
He comes straight to me and picks me up and soon enough I'm spinning in the air.
One I'm back on my two feet, Hayes takes out a box of chocolates, a teddy bear, and a dozen of white roses.
"Happy anniversary Emma."
I smile at him and kiss him passionately; Hayes smiles into the kiss as I hear a bunch of awes in the background and a flash going off.
I hide in the crook of Hayes' neck as I feel my cheek heat up.
Hayes backs away a little, kisses my forehead and says, "I'll be back but afterward, we're going to have dinner" and he leaves to the locker room
Heading into the girls lockers, I decided to change into comfortable clothes and gushed with the girls about how romantic Hayes was.
After 20 minutes I wait for Hayes in the field, and he comes out in his football jacket and jeans. He picks me up carefully bridal style, and I immediately started blushing.
As we settled in, we took a 5-minute drive down the road to a little diner, the place where our first date took place.

Today we were celebrating our five year anniversary. Ordering the same food we always ordered ever since we had our first date we sat there with matching goofy grins on our faces. The waitress' always looked at us with soft smiles knowing we were high school sweethearts.
"So babe are you ready for senior year to be over already"
Laughing I sipped on drink and answered, "Babe hoe can you already be thinking about the end of senior year to be over when October just finished"
"Well this was our last game and it feels as if its the end of senior year because it consumed so much of my high school experience "
"I'm just fortunate knowing that we agreed on going to the one year trip together before heading off to college"
"My family became so ecstatic knowing that I got a year-round scholarship to st. ambrose." The look in his eyes really did show how he was proud of his decisions that he took during these 3 years and I was just proud knowing that we got through everything together.
