Running down the hallway, passing his sister watching a small tv by her purple fuzzy couch, a small teal troll with dark blue hair and a purple nose knocked on his mother's door. "Mommy?" he asked quietly, in case she was still asleep.

The teal troll was no older than 6 but no younger than 4.

"Come in, Branch," his mom said in a happy tone of voice.

He barged through the now open door and jumped up and landed on his mom's bed, sitting next to her. "Are we going to do anything fun today?" he asked.

His mom pat his blue hair. "Yes! I've set you up on a play date."

"With who?" Branch asked quietly.

Just then, an orange troll with red hair that wore jeans and a leafy vest, like Branch's, came in the room with a tray of food and handed it to his mother. "I see you two are already awake." his father smiled at both of them. "Have you told him about the play date yet, Marinette?"

"I'm about to," the mom said, taking two strawberries, one for herself and one for Branch. His dad left the room.

"I've set you up on a play date with the princess or the trolls!" Branch's mom announced to him.

Branch jumped with excitement. "Really?"

"Yes!"

He hugged his mom, but within two seconds of the hug, the house started to shake.

It wasn't a small shake, it immediately knocked his mom's hair supplies off her dresser. His mother grabbed Branch and ran outside of the room with him. His dad had his sister. They were all in the living room.

"What's going on?!" his sister asked.

"I don't know, Lili. It's strange-it's only happening to our house, no one else's," Branch's father examined.

"Hunter, can you PLEASE not worry about WHY this is happening rather  how to get away from this?!" the mom screamed, her voice filled with anger and fear.

Just then, Branch spotted a crack in the side of one of the walls, that was slowly getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger. Before he could worn anyone, it came crashing down. Branch sped away from it, falling and stumbling over fallen items. He heard a crash that make the whole floor vibrate.

He turned back around.

The shaking of the house had stopped as soon as he caught a glimpse of something he wishes to this day he hadn't seen.

His mother, father, and sister had been crushed by the fallen wall.

Slowly, his teal color from his hair and body began to fade away into a dark, bland, gray color.
