Prologue
" Alexandria Nightfall!" My mother yelled the exact moment i stepped through the door. She was smirking at me. My mom isn't as she seems. To the world she is the sweetest women who has the perfect family, but the second she steps through the door she is evil. I don't even understand why she adopted me if she was just going to hurt me. She lets her kids walk on me, and she barely feeds me, i have to work to get my own food, clothe, and any other things i need, because she doesn't get me anything, and sometimes she steal the money i have in my room. Though she isn't as bad as her husband. Her husband is a demon, pure evil. He pulls me in his room and sins. I don't even want to use that word. I feel sick just thinking about how vile, and disgusting that man is. I hate this family and one day i will be free from them. The day i leave this place is the day i fall in love, because i there is no love in hell, and to find it would be by pure chance and luck. Though luck and hell are complete opposites and will never interact.
" Yes mom?" I asked, putting a fake smile on my face as i notice she has guest over. I see my principal, Mr. Harriet and some women that i am not familar with. They are standing behind my mother smiling, and i start feeling nervous. What did they want? Why are they here at my home? Why were they looking at me like the happiest thing in the world was happening? By the look on my mothers face, it can't be good, can it? The last time my mother had that look she had brought her male 'friends' over and the rest is just history.
Honestly, i know i'm adopted, but she says she wanted a family with similarities, and i'm the odd one out. They all have blonde hair, and blue eyes, and honestly they look like the perfect family, and are beautiful, but me? I have the blackest hair with the oddest purple highlights, and my eyes are a emerald green color. We are literally opposites, we have no similarities what so ever. I bet she just adopted me to get her anger out. Her daughter Ashley, is a cheerleader, and a sterotypical blonde. She picks on my at school all the time but thankfully she doesn't pay me any attention at home, she has never even talked to me here, even if it is just the two of us. If she has something to say she texts me, i rather be stuck with her then my brother Adam, he's the biggest jerk in New York. He probably has slept with all the girls in the school except me and of course Ashley. He tries to bully me every waking second of the day. School at home, he's the replica of his witch of a mother.
I don't have any friends at school, and that's by choice. Having friends just lead to betrayal and drama. I try not to be seen, and that usually works in till Ashley or Adam comes around and starts something. It's not like i can fight back, i did it once and when i got home i was in for quite a surprise, and it wasn't a good surprise either. I just decided to put up with it. There really isn't anything i can do about it other than try to stay out the way.
I realized that i dazed out and immediately started paying attention to the conversation again before something bad happens later for not listening.
" You know Mr.Harriet already, this is Mrs.Kathrine Lockeheart, she's the headmistress of Olympia Lane, She offered you a scholarship for her school, due to your outstanding grades. I told her that i didn't want you to go their without your brother and sister, so they are going to! Isn't that great? She wants to know if you want to go to Olympia Lane, she needs your answer now so that things can be prepared." My mother said, her voice dripping with sweetness. I was truly interested in this school, i was very upset that my sister and brother was going to but i could deal with that. I never heard of Olympia Lane, but if my mother talked the headmistress into letting them go, the school must be really great. I listened as she spoke, and the more she spoke the more i think about how this is my chance. I can finally get out of this hell hole, my chance to escape. My whole future relies on my answer. This one answer could be the begining of my new life or it could be another day in this hell hole.
" Yes. I'll go." I said firmly.
