"Finn. We will be happy to take you back. Just calm down a bit. Okay? Can you do that for me?" Dan is calm and gentle when he places a hand on my shoulder and regains his husband's hand in the other.

"Let's get you ho-back." Phil is calm too, despite the slight correction.

I relax. Taking careful note of the fact they avoided the word, "home." They were nice.

We piled into taxi and I told them the address. I sit in the middle of the back seat with Dan on my left and Phil on my right.

I had no idea how tired I was until I began drifting to sleep with my head on Dan's shoulder. The last thing I remember before fully falling asleep was Dan's hand.

Soft, gentle, warm and calming as he rubbed my back softly.

I began to slowly wake up when I felt movement. I lifted one eye to find myself in Dan's arms, walking down the path to James and Rose's house.

Phil knocked on the door and James opened it. I fell asleep again.
When I woke up, Rose was shoving me and telling me to pack. I figured that they were kicking me out. Then Rose said something,

"Those gay boys are taking you home. They're wanting to adopt you. I can't see why they'd want your sorry, no good ass. But nonetheless, that's where you're heading."

"Oh okay. Umm. Alright." I stood up and began packing. Rose was nagging, but to me it just sounded like an alarm clock.

More loud, obnoxious beeps surrounded me.

"FINN. FINN. FINN." A voice that sounded a hell of a lot like Dan's broke through my head.

I sat up and pulled my eyes open. There was Dan. Curly hair piled on top of his head, black jumper on and chocolate brown eyes sparkling. The gold ring on his finger was pronounced against my cobalt blue sheets.

"Finn. First of all, happy 15th birthday pumpkin. Second of all, you left your shoes in the hallway again. Third of all, it's PINOF day so your dad and I need you to stay out of the filming room and try to be a teensy bit quiet please?"

"Hi. Good morning to you too daddy."

"Sorry. I'm just excited. Good morning." Daddy places a quick kiss on my forehead.

"Much better. I will move my shoes. Again. And I know the PINOF drill. You and dad promise we'll go out after?"

"Yes. Of course. Bubble tea followed by the games shop followed by sushi followed by cake and ice cream at home."

"Thanks for everything daddy." We hug.

"Now, I have to go. You get dressed. Don't forget to take your T and I will see you in the kitchen. Dad's in there making coffee." He kisses my forehead and gets up.

"Okay daddy. I love you."

"Love you too pumpkin."

3 years from when I met them and I've never been happier.

I get my " birthday shirt" out of my closet and pair it with ripped maroon jeans and matching converse.

My "birthday shirt" is a galaxy pattern with purples, maroon, blues, and little stars. I wear it for my birthday, my dads birthdays, my dads families birthdays, and my birth parents birthdays.

It was November so...cold. I pick up my black hooded pea coat and bring it to the kitchen.

"Oh! Good morning pumpkin. Happy birthday." Dad kisses my cheek.

"Morning dad. Any leftover coffee? I grab a mug and set it down on the counter.

"3 years later and I still have to tell you. No coffee. Everytime you drink coffee you get really hyper then fall asleep by noon."

"I hate when you're right. Then do we have any lemon tea left?"

"It's in the cabinet. We'll go out after filming okay?" Dad began whispering, "you can go to the gaming room and film a video. I'll talk to Dan and see if we can upload it. I showed you how to film a video right?"

"Yup. Thanks dad. I'll see you later." With that, dad went into his filming room with daddy and I made my tea and headed upstairs.

"Hello Dan and Phil Games children. As some of you may know, I'm Dan and Phil's adopted son, Finn. My dads are letting me film a video for you guys. So today we're playing Subnautica!"

For the next hour, I filmed a gaming video and my dads filmed PINOF.

I signed off the video and went downstairs. Dad and daddy were in the lounge laughing with messy hair.

"Again?" I smirked as I flopped onto the couch.

"FINN! I mean you're not wrong, but."

"Ew, daddy. I was joking!"

"No you weren't!"

"Okay, dad's right. I wasn't joking. Bubble tea time?"

"You know it pumpkin. Let's go Phil."

Our happy family of 3 set out for boba.

We walked around town with matcha and caramel bubble teas until we got to the games shop. Where we met 3 years ago.

We went through our yearly activities and then went home for red velvet cake and ice cream.

"You know we love you, Finn?" Daddy swallowed his last bite of cake.

"More than anything in the world." Dad added

"I know dads. I love you too. You have me a life I thought I'd never have. I have two amazing parents who love and care about me. Who give me everything I need to survive and to be myself. Two dads who I can laugh and smile and play video games with. A dad who understands where my sadness was and who helped me be happy. A dad who makes me smile just by being his own authentic, silly self. And I thank you for this life. Really. I love you."

At this point, dad is in tears and daddy is holding me the tightest hug. I've found my happy place with two goofballs from the Internet who fell in love and found me. I am truly the happiest I've ever been.

This is, was and will be, the most fun I've ever had. And I am eternally grateful. To Dan. To Phil. And to myself. For being just a little clumsy.

Note: without the top note and this note, 1,500 words. This was a lot more fluffy than my comment was suggesting, but nonetheless, I enjoyed writing this and I am so grateful for all of you. All my friends, followers and family. ♡
