*Adam's POV*

I was dead tired.  I would probably try to stay out of too much trouble tomorrow. I had several fights today, including Casey and his kid brother.  That was way more than I was adjusted to per day.  Oh well.  I've had worse.  Besides, I won them all and I had about two hundred more dollars than I would have on a normal day.

I kicked off my shoes as I walk through my front door.  Slipping out of my clothes as I walked into my bedroom, leaving a trail of clothes behind me.  Falling on my bed, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

I can smell him, I realized.  I took another deep breath and smiled as I cherished the scent.  It smelled clean, pure.

I couldn't get him off of my mind.  I wanted him.  Both mentally and physically.  I shook my head.  This is ridiculous!  He looked at least four years younger than me.  Besides, he wouldn't want someone like me.  I'm completely messed up.  I kissed him with no warning whatsoever.  I probably freaked him out enough to make him move to a different city.

He kissed me back, I thought with a sense of satisfaction.  He's still within my grasp.

I'm acting like an infatuated schoolgirl! I thought as I caught myself grinning at the thought of him.

I shake my head as I scolded myself, realizing how ridiculous I was being.

Suddenly my lack of sleep caught up to me and I closed my eyes, breathing in Jamie's scent as I drifted to sleep.

I woke up the next morning to the sound of a knocking at my door.  I groaned and turned over in bed, hoping whoever it was would just leave.  Whoever it was knocked again and I gave up on ignoring them.  I stood up and walked to the door and wrenched it open.  Standing there was Jamie with a bashful look on his face.  All the anger of being woken up vanished as he stood there.  His eyes scanned my body and he blushed and looked away. I looked down, realizing I was only in boxer shorts.  I chuckled and asked him what he was doing here.

"Um...I...uh...," he stuttered, still refusing to look at me again.  I grinned and opened the door wider.

"Come on in," I offered.  He hesitated but then walked inside, brushing past my bare chest.

Interesting.  He didn't trust me enough to not put some kind of poison in his food, but now that he does trust me, he does so completely.  I smiled at that, knowing that Jamie trusted me made me feel special and I vowed not to abuse his trust.

I closed the door behind him and asked him how his head was.

"Oh, um, it's much better," he said bringing his hand to the back of his head.

"I'm glad,"  I reply, thinking about how much I wanted to hold him.

"I wanted to thank you for helping me yesterday," he started.  "I thought about it and I realized that something could have happened to me to a far greater extent  than it really did."

He had no idea.  As far as he knew, he was only mugged.  Little did he know that he was about to be deflowered when I arrived.

"Look, Jamie, it wasn't a big deal.  I just thought I would lend a hand when-" I started

"No!  It was a big deal, Adam!"  He yelled.  His eyes widened at his outburst and he clamped a hand over his mouth.  "I'm sorry," he whispered, looking down.

I swallowed and took a step toward him.

"It's just, I don't know what would happen if I wasn't there to take care of Nicky and my mom and-"

"Jamie?" I interrupted. "How old are you?"  I asked.  He hardly looked fifteen.  Such a young age to have the responsibility that he seemed to have on his shoulders and such a young age to be so willing to take on this responsibility.

"I'll be eighteen next Wednesday," he answered.

My jaw dropped.  "You're eighteen?!"  He was only a year younger than me.

"Next Wednesday."  He sighed, seemingly used to this reaction.

There was an awkward silence as I stared at him in shock while he stared back.

"Anyway, I just wanted to stop by and thank you for everything.  You have no idea how much it means to me," he continued.  "If there is anything I can do to repay you, just let me know okay?  I mean, I know I'm not very good at most things but I would be happy to try to do anything you would want from me."

He had no idea how much I wanted to take him up on that.  "Look Jamie, I don't really want anything from you-"

"Please!  I know I don't look like it, but I can do anything you want me to!" He pleaded.

Hmm, he doesn't like being in debt. "I can tell you don't really like having to owe people, so how about you let me steal you away for the rest of today and keep me company?  Then you'll be free of the oh-so-terrible burden of being in debt."

His head snapped up in surprise and I looked into his beautiful green eyes.  "But...I'm not good company... and... Nicky...."

"Come on, Jamie," I insisted.  "You said you'de be willing to do anything.  Do you have to work or something?"

"No, my boss made me take a vacation day..." he says absently.  He bit his lip,  "May I use your phone?"

I smiled and went to grab my phone, while also picking up the trail of clothes I left on the floor from yesterday.  I grabbed the phone off of the bed, while throwing the dirty clothes under the bed.  I walked back in the room, tossing it to him.

He caught the phone with clumsy fingers, dialed a number and put the phone up to his ear.

"Nicky?"  He spoke into the phone, turning his back to me.  As he was informing Nicky of his plans for today, I quietly walked behind him and whispered into his ear that I was going to take a shower, my lips grazing his neck.  God, he smelled so good.

He froze and stopped talking mid-sentence, goosebumps rising on his arms.  I smirked at the impact I had on him and walked to the bathroom to take my shower.

Today was going to be fun.
