Hi! My name is Heidi. I'm from a secret place in the haunted woods of Wychwood in England. But, I just want to let you know, I don't have the England accent. I'm from Lawrence, Kansas. My mother's name is Leena and my father's name is Joe. My mother makes our clothes and blankets instead of buying everything. My father repairs things in houses. I didn't want to do any of those jobs. So, this is how my story goes of how I got my "unexpected" job of being a demon hunter.
One day as I was "working" with my dad on the roof of this one guy's house that he forced us to call him Officer Ed. Nobody really liked to talk to him except my dad. They always talk about work. But other than that, nobody likes to talk to him about work. So, I went to my friend, Hailee's house to talk for a little bit instead of listening to my dad and "Officer Ed" talk about work.
Hailee and I talked about jobs. We eventually got to why I didn't want to do what my parents do. So, Hailee brought up this undercover job. She said that the job only let strong, smart, and skilled people join. Hailee said, "You won't be able to make it in to that job because they say only guys are strong enough." I retorted in a polite kind of manner, "I bet I could prove you wrong! I am always at work with my dad carrying more than he can carry! I am going to figure out where they hire the people. Where do they hire them?"
Hailee said in a way that sounded kind of upset that I was wanting to join the job,
"They hire the people about a quarter mile south of here. Are you really going to see if they will hire you?" She didn't know what she got her best friend into. "No." I retorted softly. "Thank you, Heidi." But what Hailee didn't know was that I was going to get that job.
About two weeks later I went back to Hailee's house to tell her the "good news". According to me. "I GOT THE JOB!" I yelled after I whipped the door open to her room. "I thought you said you were NOT going to see if you could get the job!" she replied annoyed. "I never said that I was going to TAKE the job." I told her being a smart alic. "Well, I hope you do good." Hailee said as she was laying in bed a little upset.
I left her house to go home and tell my parents about it. They weren't too thrilled. "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING WHEN YOU WENT TO GET THE JOB? DIDN'T YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT WE WOULD THINK OR WHAT WE WOULD WANT?" My dad shouted as my mother went to her room. "Yeah I have! Have you ever thought of what I wanted for a first instead of what you want!?" Then I left the house slamming the door behind me. I called Hailee asking her to go to my house to pack my things while my parents were asleep. So, she did. And this is where the real story begins.
