Good night dear readers,
there I am again with a new chapter! What a great episode it was, just magnificant- and of course our HiLeon scene was more than we ever expected. This short story isn't really going parralel to that. So try not to be very disappointed, please. I promise I will righten it next time ;)
Sincerely, nightingale_the_blue

You are not wrong who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day
In a vision, or in none
Is it therefore the last gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream...*
Cevdet took a deep breath, smelling the waves and listening to their tossing sounds. The war took too much of a toll. Azize was gone just as his little son. The running tears he could not fight anymore. He didn't even wish to. His chest was burning- breathing hurt his lungs. Now, he had only his two daughters and a mother left. Sighing his mind wandered to the young man, who was in love with his little sparrow. Cevdet wished their heart would have never connected in that way, but then he remembered how he had met Azize. Had she not been a stubborn, intelligent woman too, whose steadfast yet fragile nature had enchanted him? His little daughter resembled to her a lot; Thinking like this he could not be angry with Leon anymore. Cevdet would do everything to protect them, even if it would be the last thing he would do. Finally, he realized that their love was the rose that bloomed in the most barren soil. A chuckle escaped his lips as he thought of their conversation last night.
"Hilal belongs to me as I belong to her- and no one will change that. Not even you... I will not allow you or anyone else harm her- But now things are not the same anymore..." Cevdet had felt his heart crumble as he realized how the burdens forced the young man to his limits.
"I will stay away from her and you will help me; That is the last thing you can do for me after all what happened; You owe me, General Cevdet, you simply owe me!"
His little sparrow was in good hands. When these dark clouds would clear off eventually, he would take good care of her. The man sighed.
"Father, Am I beautiful?" His little sparrow was a woman now- a sadness overtook him as he thought that he had not been a part of her life. "Azizem**, light of my dark nights... I will do my best for our daughters- this is my last promise to you..."

"I will rather die than to live in that mansion! Not even you can make us stay there, General Cevdet." The petite woman was looking daringly at her father; the disgust easily visible on her face.
"I said all what was due to say, Hilal. Your sister and grandmother are already there. So don't make things more complicated as they are!" Hilal was shaking her head.
"Are you not ashamed of yourself- not even that little?"
The tremble of her voice was the pain in his chest. His eyes softened, and got teary as he heard her say:
