The Girl Who Actually Likes Reading

FYI this whole thing will be crazy and all over the place.

On February 15th, 2002 in a land kinda far away a baby was born. Her parents were Bradly and Tabatha. Her name was Saunya Marie Langan. That's me. I was born in Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

So... a list of my favorites. Well, i really like cats and books. I love my family (most of the time). I love the colors blue and black. I also enjoy hobbies such as bracelet making, drawing, coloring, and other arty things just to name a few.

I was born with a rare disorder called Trimethylaminuria (TMAU). Trimethylaminuria makes me have extra sweat enzymes. I have been bullied for this since I was in 5th grade and as I got older and the comments got worse. And because there is no cure I can't do much of anything about it.

I love music. I mean, who doesn't? My favorites are rap, pop, and hip hop. I will listen to rock, metal and jazz if i'm in the mood for it. I'm sorry to all you country lovers but I hate country. I've tried to listen to it but I just can't. My favorite artists are Krizz Kaliko, Mayday, and Ces Cru (i wouldn't recommend listening to them though).

I am crazy about cats. I always have been. When i'm older I plan on having a few cats. My favorite breeds are Main coons, Manx, Ragdoll, and Persians. I really like big fluffy cats and/or kittens. Cats in general are hilarious.

When I leave high school my first choice college is Ohio State. I plan on going there for 6 years so I can get my masters (?') in veterinary medicine. I've wanted to be a vet since I was 7 years old. Back then i thought being a vet meant that you just got to play with the animals all day. Now i know that it's a lot more than that.

So. My story. The one that makes me, me. My whole life my biological mom, Tabitha, was never around. When I was nine I asked why and my dad told me. He said that before I was born that she wanted an abortion. That she didn't even want me.

After i was born my dad went back to his 3rd shift job. While he was gone Tabitha would sit on the couch and ignore me by listening to music while I was in my crib crying. If i wouldn't "shut up" she gave me pills to go to sleep. He said that she would shake me in the car if I wouldn't stop crying.

One day (thankfully) my dad came home early from work without telling her. He heard my crying and saw her doing nothing about it. After that he took me and left. He had to fight court because they didn't think an 18 year old man could take care of a baby. But he won.

As I got older she rarely called me. When she did though it was only for a few minutes then she would give it to one of my step siblings: Will, Miranda or Alyssa. I only remember seeing her once. It was when I was 6. We met at a Taco Bell (i think) and talked for like 10 minutes. Every time i talked to her she promised me Christmas and Birthday presents. I never got them.

When i talked to my brother, William, a few years ago she kept saying things like that she didn't mean to do those things and that i needed to call her mom and things like that. To me the only mom I have is my step mom, Melissa (i consider her my mom though). Tabitha is the "it" or "she" or "her" to me.

I love books. My favorite genres are fantasy (esp. Faeries) and romance (but not like Twilight). I will read any genre though if it looks interesting or if someone recommends it to me. I don't understand why people these days don't read much of anything other than something on their phones. I, personally, enjoy paper books better. I like seeing all the progress i've made in the book.

My hero is my dad. He has done so much for me. For a few years he raised me all by himself. I love him more than anyone else (though don't tell my family that). I think he could have done more with his talents though instead of working at Spectrum Brands. He is very good at math. If you ask him just about any mathy thing he'll answer it IN HIS HEAD super quick.

I recently moved. I used to live in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Now i live in Wellsville, Kansas. It took us over 15 hours to drive here. I slept a lot during the drive. We got here at like 3 in the morning.

I have always been an antisocial person. It makes my mom worry about me because she thinks I need a friend for high school. I'm not sure though. I just feel people these days just want phone friends and because i don't have a phone i can't be that for them. Even if i was someones phone friend i feel talking on the phone is awkward and weird.

I really like art. I like the colors and the amount of expression you can put into just one piece of art. I enjoy working with pottery, colored pencils and just plain ol' pencils. I hate, and i mean HATE working with paint and oil pastels. Those mediums are so messy and hard to use. But i admit the blending that can be done with an oil pastel is AMAZING, i wish i could do that with colored pencils.

I used to be in chorus, crazy right? I was in 7th grade. I hated it. They mainly did church songs. Which i wasn't expecting it to be anything like that or at least i wasn't hoping for that. I don't even understand why i wanted to be in that class. I mean i hate being onstage because all those people that i don't know are looking at me. I just feel really weird and self-conscious.

You know another thing? I love being by myself. I find it relaxing. Honestly? People give me a headache, which i get a lot. A headache, i mean, not people. People are weird. And as i said they don't TALK they just text. What happened to face-to-face conversations Without your phone?

I hope you enjoyed this tangle of mess. I had a hard time trying to come up with topics. I've got a couple funny stories from when i was a kid. Wanna hear them? I'll tell you anyway. Once when i was four my dad has to take a suitcase and steel toed shoes to work. He had big feet. I decided to put in his shoes and grab his suitcase and pretend i was him going to work. There's a picture of it too.

Another time in the middle of the night while everyone was sleeping (everyone being my grandma, my aunt, and my dad) and decided to take my aunts dog, Bonita, for a walk(i was still 4) and i grabbed her leash and took her outside. I lost her leash (good thing she was old) and she started barking. The neighbor heard her barking from her porch and took me back to our trailer and knocked on the door. All three of em' were there and they were all sooooo mad. I got in so much trouble that day...

That's all i can think of right now so i hoped this was okay. Have a great day!
