I....I wish that I was never born this way. Everyone in class looks at me like I'm weird. I hate this... I hate these pieces of plastic. I wonder what I would look like with a real right arm and left leg. Well duh, I would look like a normal being of course! What could I do if I had both my arms and legs? Would I be able to run fast? Would I be able to play basketball more easily? These things I wish for but can never have. I really just want to be normal. Not only does the class look at me weird but so does my teachers and the general public. Why do I even bother, there's nothing I can do.
"Mr. Kano.... do you know the answer to the question or not? Mr. Aera Kano?"
"Obviously he doesn't, because if he did he would've answered you already. "
Oh shoot I was too busy talking to myself and didn't even notice that I got called on.
"Uh... false?"
"Mr. Kano please pay attention, you're slowing down the class. And no that's your answer is not even close to what I was asking."
I hate having the spotlight. Everyone just staring at you. Well I mean, I wasn't paying attention so everyone was curious to why I didn't answer. Koen over there likes to put people down when he doesn't even understand what's being taught ninety percent of the time. He's always picking on me. If I had my right arm, I would beat his ass. He makes my life worst and the teachers here don't even care for their students. What the hell is the point of having an "Anti-Bullying School" banner if they don't even enforce what they claim? Fuck this school.
"Class please turn to..."
*Bell Rings & School is over*
I grab my backpack and I began tossing my stuff in it. I gotta get home, being in the same building as these people makes my head hurt. As I walk to my bike at the bike rack in the front of the school, I see Koen and about 5 of his goons. Let's just ignore them, get my bike and leave. It'll be just like that, easy and fast. I get to my bike and I can feel the presence of these goons behind me.
"Hey plastic man! Are you sure you can ride that bike with those prosthetics? You're gonna get hurt little boy."
"Shut up and get away from me. I'm not looking for any problems. I'm just trying to get home."
I unlock my bike and pulled it out of the rack. Unfortunately it did not go as I imagained. Koens and his goons surround me. They are preventing me from leaving. God I am screwed.
"I don't want you to hurt yourself before I do."
I try to ram through them with my bike but I just didn't have enough momentum and speed to get through fast enough. They pull my backpack and I fall straight onto the concrete on my back. The air gets knocked out of my lungs. I try to gasp for air but there's nothing for 5 seconds. Finally, I take a deep breath and right after that I get punched in the face. I wasn't able to see who it was. It hurts.... it hurts a lot. I'm unable to see through my right eye. I can still see through my left eye though, I can see that we have caught some attention. Koen goes for a punch.
"Hey! Stop! Why are you guys doing this!?" Someone from the crowd yells.
I look around to see who this person was. A lady squeezes through the crowd. She stands there lecturing at Koen. I can tell she's a student here too by her uniform. I just got saved by a girl. How embarrassing, not only am I not able to fight for myself, I get saved by a girl.
"Leave him alone! He hasn't done anything wrong. He's already in pain yet you are still beating him."
"Celi go away. This has nothing to do with you. You're always in my business."
Cecil picks me up from the floor. It's even more embarrassing that I'm standing next to her. The crowd starts to get smaller as theirs nothing left to see but a beaten man being saved by a lady. Cecil's arm is wrapped around my right arm. Well I should say prosthetic. She still hasn't let go from when she picked me up. I push her arm off while she's yelling at Koen and run towards my bike. I begin to cry. I pick up my bike quickly and take off. I fucking hate my life.
I finally get to my house. I wipe my tears as I walk to the door. I unlock the door and put my bike away in the backyard. I try to avoid my dad but he calls for me. I don't want him to see me like this. I go to the bathroom and wash my face and walk towards the living room. The lights were on brightly and the window blinds were open.
"Son how was your day at school?"
"It was just like any other day, Boring."
"C'mon nothing interesting or fun?"
My dad turns around and sees my face. He's shocked.
"What happened to you!?"
"I got beat up and then a student saved me. A girl."
"Why didn't you report it to the teachers?"
"Because they don't even care. That banner in the fron of the school is a fucking lie. They don't do shit."
"I believe you son. I don't want anything to happen to you. Do you want to be home schooled instead?"
"Sure dad, I'd rather be here at home than go to that school."
"You're gonna have to wait a couple of days. Since we have to sign you up and get you an instructor. You can stay here at home. I'll go pull you out of school tomorrow."
"Alright, thanks dad."
"I love you son."
"I love you too dad."
