Gray X Reader (The Puppet Maker)

Chapter 8: Puppet Show

You saw Katherine looked at you with a worried expression but you smiled at her and continued the story.

"What do you need?" Katherine asked to the bandits.

The bandits looked at each other and started to smile menacingly.

"Even if they don't know where they are, they started to asked the little girl that made her a bit confused" you narrated.

"Let me ask this once, you're that powerful wizard right?" the puppet bandit said.

You saw that Katherine wore a shocked expression, even you are shock to hear the puppet say the words that are not from the script.

'Where did that came from' you thought but didn't fret by those words and continued the story.

"What are you talking about? I'm not the one......" Before Katherine would end his sentence the puppet started to talk again.

"We know that you are the one who had that magic, don't play dumb" You can feel that the atmosphere changed.

You looked at the audience, they are so focused to what would happen next. You looked at Katherine and she was looking at you saying 'what am I going to do next'. You took a deep breath and looked at Katherine seriously.

'Then play without the script' you thought and started to make a new story.

"But the bandits didn't know that there is a person observing them" You made a new puppet appeared to the scene.

A black puppet appeared in the scene. It was necessary cause it was dark in the forest and the mystery guy needs to be a mystery person until the story end.

An action scene started. The black puppet made the bandits surrender and saved Katherine.

"Thank you" Katherine smiled and the black puppet smiled back to him.

"The little girl was about to asked the mystery guy's name but the guy who saved him disappeared in a blink of an eye." you said.

"The little girl started to roam around the forest. That's the only thing she thought that she needs to do. She need to find the exit." Katherine started to act like she's wandering around the forest.

"She was losing hope when she saw a blue little light in front of her" A blue little light appeared to the scene.

"When she looked at the light, it was like the light was trying to say to her to follow it. She did not hesitate to follow it until......." The scenery change into a lakeside.

"The little girl stand in awe as she looked at the beautiful lakeside"

The stage started to sparkle. 'I don't know where that came from'  you thought.

"And an unfamiliar creature appeared in front of her" And you made a fairy puppet appeared to the scenery.

"You little girl" The fairy started to talk.

You looked at the audience. Even though it is not what the script was saying, the ending was still according to what you really want to do.

"A wandering girl in the night" The fairy touched Katherine's face softly.

"You are emitting a strange light"

"It may be dark tonight but the light inside your heart will lead you to them" The fairy smiled to Katherine.

You thought that the ending will accord to what was on the script but it suddenly changed.

The words that the fairy puppet said made your heart clenched. You don't know what's happening, why does the thoughts of your puppets change.

A dust appeared and made Katherine sleep.

"Don't go back to the darkness, find them and the light would start to gleam" after the fairy puppet said those words, the curtains fall down.

"As the little girl woke up, she saw her family again and live as the fairy told her" You said and bowed down.

The audience started to applause. Some of the audience gave you a standing ovation.

Your show was successful but instead of feeling relieve cause the show was done, tears started to fall down from your eyes.

You don't know why but you started to cry.

The audience was shock when you started to cry. You are on the stage crying. You don't even care if you are in front of them.

As you cry, you are breathing heavily cause you used too much of your magic.

Somehow the words that the fairy said was familiar to you.

You are crying on the stage when you felt a hand landed on your shoulders.

You looked at the person behind you and saw Gray and the others.

They smiled at you and because of your overflowing emotions, you hugged Gray. Gray patted your back "Why are you crying?" he asked but you didn't answer him and continued crying.

'It feels warm'  you thought

While on the other side........

  "The story is good" Evergreen said  

"But that story sounds familiar" Bickslow said with a serious tone.

"She's one of a strange kid" Freed said as he looked at you crying on the stage while the Team Natsu is comforting you.

"As the puppet said earlier, she's emitting a strange aura" Laxus mumbled.

"That was interesting" A mysterious guy said as he left the guild with a smirk on his face.

It's a long chapter....

I hope you like this chapter even the puppet show.

I had a story that came up but it changes as I wrote it so I really felt what the character felt.

Who's that mysterious guy who appeared on your puppet show? Why did you cry as you heard your puppet said those words.
