➳ Light

"I can't believe you lost (D/N), (F/N)! How could you?! It was about the simplest job ever; keeping an eye on a damn dog, and you couldn't even do that?! Ugh, I knew you weren't trustworthy. I'll have to go look for him now, and it's all your fault." You lectured your friend by the phone, as you picked up the house keys, rushing for the door.

"Oh my God, my mother's going to kill me..." You thought out loud while turning off the phone and exiting your house in a hurry. You headed to the streets and started searching desperately for your puppy.

"(D/N)?! (D/N)?! Tell me you're here...!" You shouted around, praying to find your dog near and unharmed.

Still walking quickly towards every place you thought he might go to, you started getting even more desperate and not knowing what to do. You rushed upwards and downwards the streets, panting more and more as you go quicker. If you lost that dog your parents would kill you, and you would never forgive yourself for letting (F/N) take care of him for you.

You walked a few more quarters, almost giving up on looking for your dog, when you suddenly feel someone poke your shoulder. You quickly turned around to face a neat looking guy in a school uniform holding your puppy elegantly.

"Excuse me, Miss... Is this the puppy you're looking for?" He asked calmly, lifting the dog up so you could see it. He was quite good looking and had light brown hair and brown eyes with a relaxed yet mysterious look on them.

"Y-yes! It is!" You reply, receiving the dog happily and feeling relieved by seeing that (D/N) was safe and sound. "Thank you! Mister...?".

"Yagami. Light Yagami. You can call me Light." He said, smiling a bit. Light Yagami... What an intriguing name. He looks like an organized and interesting person, who always knows what he's doing.

"Thanks, Light! Where... Where was he?" You asked, still holding (D/N) with both arms so he doesn't escape.

"Right in front of a coffee shop nearby. How come you lost him from sight? You seemed so far away, as you came from the opposite direction." He asked, curious.

"Oh..." You giggled, "I was busy studying so I asked my friend to walk him for me, you know... Exams coming up and that stuff." You told him. "My family really wants me to join a good college, so they wouldn't let me ditch studying to walk my dog."

He stared at you for a while with a serious expression on his face. "Yeah, I understand." He says. "Parents always want the best for their children. I advise you to keep studying, although it may be harsh and difficult at times, it's worth it. But try to also find some time for yourself, you deserve a break if you just keep studying non stop, you know?" Says Light.

You happened to love the way how he advised you. He seemed to have a good notion of what to tell others. He seemed like he always managed to put things under control and solve every problem he has.

"Yes, I... I know. I'll... Try to find some time for myself, especially after what happened today. I'd take him for shorter walks and less often. Besides, I don't think I can trust my friend anymore." You laughed at the last phrase.

He grins with a smile. "Good. Hey, uhm... I never asked your name?"

"Oh... Sorry, I'm (Y/N). (L/N) (Y/N)." You replied smiling back.
