Have you ever had a secret that you knew that if you told someone, it would call a lot of attention to you?
That's basically my story.
My secret, dear stranger is that I'm part of a really successful YouTube channel called Autumn. It's a music channel and we're a band with almost 3.4 million hits, and well I go to high school.
Now, I know what you're thinking, "How does someone like me get stuck in high school when you're basically famous."
I'm doing it because I'd like a normal life and I can't go to college without doing my high school years. I'm currently in my second year of high school and anytime I have to practice, I just go into the library and practice there.
I held my guitar on back as I headed up to the library, making sure no one was there, and closing the door behind me. The librarian is the only one who knows my secret and I'll be honest, I didn't expect her to be a fan.
I waved to her as I entered setting my guitar on a nearby table, "How's it going Ms. Nic?"
She waved back at me smiling, "It's going well today Gabriel, I heard you got a concert tonight."
I nodded and sat down, taking my notebook out, and getting my guitar out of it's case, "Yeah, it's true," I said setting up everything, "You gonna be there?"
She simply nodded, "Of course, I can't wait to see your performances."
I smiled at her again and tuned up my guitar, getting ready to play, "So, you want a sneak peek or do you want to wait until the show?"
She looked at me up and down, thinking about what I'd just said. She was dressed her usual attire today, white shirt, red skirt, black thigh high leggings, glasses, and her hair tied in a ponytail.
She had pale skin and was in here early 20s, "I think I'll here one song," she said looking at me with her green eyes, "Show me what you got."
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
I strumming my guitar and started to sing.
"In a slumper that no one can wake me from, the scent of her skin still haunts my lungs, and the moon never leaves her eyes, here's a toast to another endless night.
It's the feeling in my bones, a carousel back to where no one knows, what a twist when we kiss I feel sick, any moment I can wake without your lips.
My paradise, is stripped and I'm weak. You'll never know, how much it kills me. Everytime, I close my eyes, I dream that you're still here. This is, this is my nightmare. Everytime I go to sleep, I scream cause you're not there, this is my nightmare."
I slowed down my pace of my guitar and opened my eyes a little to look up at Ms. Nic, she seemed on the brink of tears. I continued and closed my eyes as I began singing again.
"Floating, walking on air, I turn my head for just a moment and you're gone again. This is not the way it's suppose to be, what have you done? This is not what I expect from someone that I love.
Lost, but never found. How dare you put me out? Running again and screaming in my head until I leave again.
Everytime I close my eyes, I dream that you're stilm here. This is, this is my nightmare. Everytime I go to sleep, I scream cause you're not there, this is my nightmare, this is my nightmare."
I finished my strumming and did a final finish for the song, before opening my eyes again and seeing Ms. Nic crying a little bit I sent down my guitar and gave her a look of concern.
"W-was it good," I asked my expression turning to a look of sadness as I awaited my answer.
She sniffled a bit and wiped her eyes a little, "It was amazing Gabriel. I loved it and I can't wait to hear more at the concert. Keep practicing here and I'll be back soon."
She grabbed her coat and walked out of the library, leaving me by myself with my music and practice. I continued playing and writing music down, until I heard a lot of noise from the outside.
I looked out the window to see a soccer game going on and the girl everyone admired at school winning it for them like usual, I sighed as I saw her giving it her all and beating the guys team.
She scored a goal and wiped the sweat off her forehead as she approached her friends and drank some water.
P.O.V. Switch
Scoring another goal seemed to give the guys a run for their money. I grabbed the towel from one of my friends and wiped the sweat off, grabbing my water bottle and drinking it.
"So boys," I yelled at them, "The score is 12 to 3. I would say this is fun, but that'd be a lie."
I smirked a little at them and all of them got mad.
"Salty are we? Come on boys, make this interesting."
I got the ball on my side and set myself up, looking straight ahead and focusing on the ball. I dodged and dodged, moving out of the way of everyone, before I made another goal and ending the game."
"GOAL!"
I yelled getting everyone else aside from the boys team to yell with me, "Well boys it's been fun, but I'll be taking my leave now."
I wiped the rest of the sweat of my face and grabbed my bag before heading to class, getting the attention of everyone who followed me and started asking questions.
I answered a lot of them and passed by the library on my way to class, seeing a boy walk out, carrying a guitar case with him.
He bumped into me and I got a good look at him for a few moments. He was wearing a black button up short sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and black Converse that looked like they'd seen better days.
He had dark skin, blue hair, and black eyes with curly and untamed hair.
He ignored the fact that he bumped into me and one of the girls gasped as he did.
"Do you know who you just bumped into," asked one of the girls.
He turned toward her with an emotionless expression on his face, "Don't know, don't care."
He walked off with that and everyone seemed shocked.
"I can't believe him," said another girl, "There's something wrong with him."
I don't know what it was about him, but he seemed different from everyone here.
I felt like I knew him, but he was gone and I don't think getting involved with him would be good for my reputation.
