The Disappearance

Part 1

I've been in foster care even since i can remember. I'm about to age out soon. I'll be 18 in a few months. Then I'll be on my own unless my foster parents adopt me which is unlikely to happen.

Don't get me wrong they love me but they can't support me without the money from the state they get from fostering me. I was a field behind my house. I was writing like I always do.

"Julie Julie" I heard my sister, Sophie, calling. "Time for dinner".

"Coming" I said. I got up and got my things and started walking to the house. It is dark blue and has a swing and the porch. Sophie loves that swing.

My parents took me and Sophie in a few years ago. I was so grateful when they took us in. Sophie is 14 so she'll be with them for a little awhile. Then when she ages out hopefully I will be doing good and will have an apartment so we can live together.

After dinner i went to my room and turned on some music. I was dancing to the music when I caught a glimpse of a man outside my window in the distance by the woods. I walked to the window and saw him. I my quickly closed my curtains and dropped below my window.

My heart was beating so fast I thought is was was going to burst out of my chest. My breathing was uneasy I couldn't breath. I stood up and look outside and he was gone. It was getting late so I got ready for bed. I laid down in my bed my mom came in tell me good night and she closed my door. I couldn't sleep I was so scared that he would come back and I would wake up in a strange place with him over me.

When I woke up the next morning I was in my room thankfully. I went and looked out the window to see if he was there again but he wasn't there. So I went and took a shower did my hair and makeup. I got my keys and got Sophie and I took her to school.
